We have just returned from four wonderful weeks at Mangoes. So convenient for bars, restaurants and stores, plus the beach and Beach Club pool are mere minutes away. The villa is spacious, very well appointed and contains everything you need for a self catering vacation. There is a wide variety of restaurants and bars in Holetown catering to many tastes but our favourite is Zaccios, right on the beach. Katasha, the housekeeper was there to meet us when we arrived and explained everything and came in twice per week to change sheets, towels etc. and keep everything spotless. Although there is air conditioning, we never used it as, because of the design and the fans, there is always a breeze throughout the house which kept it comfortable. The house felt very safe and we never had any issues in that regard. The house is in a great residential area with buses and taxis readily available if you want to explore the rest of the island. Cath is very easy to deal with and made the whole process of booking seamless and was always quick to reply to any questions we had. We would highly recommend this villa and can’t wait to return to the beautiful island of Barbados

We returned to Mangos in February having last stayed there in 2012. In between we had stayed at several other properties in Holetown, never being able to return to the property as it was always booked for our dates. Happily and luckily, Cath had a space when we booked 14 months in advance and able to fit us in for 3 weeks in February. She updated us on the changes made at the villa, which were improvements in the bathrooms and on the terrace. Whilst it is not a top luxury villa, it is an ideal and comfortable, clean base for a holiday on the Platinium coast. Its location is just the best, as it is minutes from the newly updated modernised and well stocked Masseys supermarket, across the road from the beach and pool facilities for those staying at Sunset Crest, near to excellent restaurants, bars and Bean and Bagel coffee shop right on its doorstep for amazing breakfasts and lunches. Convenient for the buses running up and down the coast road, medical centre and quaint chatel village boutiques are literally out of the back gate, and across the green. Close by is Limegrove designer shopping mall and its cinema. 1st and 2nd street for more bars and restaurants, such as Ragamuffins for well priced delicious food, as is Just Grilling, steps from the villa. Mangos is well equipped with all the essentials for self-catering, we love going to the fish markets and experimenting with the fresh fish from sea to table produce. We enjoyed special meals out at The Cliff, Lonestar and Sandy Lane for the amazing Sunday lunch buffet, which are all close by. Also enjoyable as always was Surfside for flying fish and chips and wonderful Rum Punch. Our friends who travelled with us for their 1st holiday to Barbados loved the location of Mangos and all the amenities close by. It gave them a great Caribbean experience. Whilst the villa has 3 large bedrooms and was spacious enough for 4 adults, I think it would be fine, but possibly a little crowded for 6 adults on the terrace when relaxing and with the bathroom facilities, as our friends found their ensuite and the 3rd bathroom which they also used quite small. Bedroom 1 ensuite we found spacious, well equiped and nicely updated. Cath kept in contact with us through our stay and was as always very helpful if there was a problem and got it sorted out with her team very quickly. Lovely Lucille worked hard keeping the villa clean for us by coming in twice a week despite not being in the best of health during our stay. We enjoyed quality time relaxing on the terrace whilst being charmed by a mother green backed monkey and her babies playing in the garden. Overall a very relaxing and chilled holiday in a great location.

We have just returned from our fourth stay of 3 weeks at Mangoes. The villa is both well equipped and organised, the management and staff are all very helpful and friendly Mangoes is very well situated for both Holetown’s faciltites and also exploring Barbados, there are plenty of taxis and a good bus service from Holetown.

The location of the Villa is fab, just a short stroll to a variety of shops and bars. The addition of the Beach Club access is an absolute bonus. Really good communication with Cath the owner who couldn't be more helpful, the advice about the different features of the Villa and help on how to minimise Mosquito bites was invaluable

This is truly a gem! As all the descriptions depict, this house has it all! My wife, teenage daughter and I were very comfortable. We immediately felt at home. This house is in easy walking distance from everything you could possibly need: the beach, pool, vendors, cute Caribbean themed pastel colored boutique stores, a major grocery store called Massy that has EVERYTHING, a 24 hr gas station next to Massy’s (if you rent a car - we didn’t find a need for one) restaurants, a police station and a medical center. Also note, there are taxis pretty much at every corner, so no need to go searching for those either! If you wanted to venture out even further, you can walk into a busier area where there are more restaurants and bars. This is where you’ll find a beautiful high end outdoor shopping center called Limegrove which has not only shops, but multiple eateries and a little cinema. This is in THE perfect location. Truly. Walking about, even at night, was completely safe! As in previous reviews, my wife also had the pleasure of frequent communications with Cath via WhatsApp in preparation for the journey, and during. So, if you don’t already have that downloaded in your phone, do yourself a favor and download it now. You can text and make calls just as you would with your own phone service, BUT it’s FREE. Very detailed notes were provided about the home and area. And Lucille, the house keeper was a delight. She met us on arrival and gave us a tour of the house. We had her phone number in case we needed to contact her. And, when we did not call, she would periodically check in by calling us to make sure all was well! She also came in to clean twice during our stay. A real pro! We are experienced travelers and can tell you that is is a great bargain! Barbados is a beautiful island and the locals are beautiful people. Genuinely friendly and helpful. If a Bajan has said hello to you first, don’t hesitate to initiate a “hello”, as you will surely receive one back! A perfect example of this is Bean & Bagel. Maybe 50 yards away from the backyard over to the left. We’re sure it hasn’t been listed in the Mills’ binder of things to do and places to eat because of it being a newer establishment. If staying at Mangoes, you cannot have a day without stopping in here. We ate there several times! Besides the great choices in food and beverages, the great service, and very savvy and friendly manager, Jordan. Special note* if you’re Vegetarian or Vegan, this place will be perfect for you as well ;-) Jordan was very sensitive towards this aspect, as both my wife and daughter are Vegan. Special mention goes to our server: Rashida, who was always smiling, and singing! Thanks to Cath, Ian, Lucille and William (Lucille’s brother who provided our return ride to the airport). I am a little late in posting this review. We stayed at Mangoes some months ago with our family. Cath made sure we were taken care of with detailed instructions and advice prior to our arrival. Lucille the housekeeper, made us feel welcome and ensured the villa was spotless. My favorite area in the villa was the front porch which made for great times of relaxation after dinner. The rooms are spacious and immaculate, and the kitchen well furnished. The location of the villa is perfect as it is only a few minutes’ walk to the beach and close to the local restaurants and shops. We also had access to the Beach Club with the swimming pool which is across the street from the back door. The villa is surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden and our grand children had fun there every morning before we left for the beach. Mangoes is amazing, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for accommodation (having said that, I hope it will be available when we visit again!). Needless to say, we shall return. The villa is so spacious and was marvellous for our family of 6, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Plenty of wardrobe space and a fantastic well equipped kitchen for those that want to eat in. Lovely garden area at the front and back too. Cath, the owner contacted us to check everything was ok which was really nice I thought. She was easily contactable for any queries as was Cheryl the maid who came in 3 times during our 10 day stay. Another great thing about this villa is the location as you are right in the centre of Holetown and in walking distance to all of the restaurants and a large Masseys supermarket which stocks everything you could need. Just out from the back garden of the villa, a short stroll across the grass and pelican crossing and you’re at the private pool which had plenty of available sun beds and then out of the gate to the beautiful idilyc beaches. We will certainly be back and would absolutely recommend this villa to anyone. Thank you Cath and Ian!

Perfect place on the perfect holiday island! Villa is spotless, spacious, perfect position, and has everything you could possibly need! Pool that you have access to is lovely and the beach is right there too. Lots of lovely restaurants on the beach front, our favourite is zaccios. Chattel house shopping village next door is lovely to wander around with a great coffee shop in the middle. The newly built supermarket is just past that and has everything you would need. If you fancy a wander around swanky shops, lime grove mall is just along from that. Turn right on the beach and keep walking you eventually come to some very up market hotels. As all beaches are public, nothing to stop you using the ones by these hotels! A lot of history around holetown, worth reading about. Finally, great owners who give you lots of information and keep in contact to ensure all is ok. The ladies they employ to care for their bills and guests are lovely deal with any issues promptly. I'm sure we will return yet again!

Amazing location - beach across the street, grocery story nearby, access to a pool. Villa is spacious and extremely well-equipped. Owners easily accessible.

Had a great time and the Villa was superb, Lucille the housemaid was Brill. Beach was on the doorstep and all the other amenities.
