We highly recommend this property. Very beautiful location, wonderful views and serenity!! While secluded, it is convenient to great towns like Woodland Park, Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs. Be sure and try the Hungry Bear in Woodland Park for breakfast.
The home is well maintained with a great kitchen for eat in breakfasts and dinners before and after a day out in the Colorado sun hiking, whitewater rafting and trail riding!! Fishing in the near by Dream Stream at Spinney Mountain Reservoir is a must for the fisherman. A favorite spot at the home is the small deck on the side of the house where you can go out at night and look up--you may see some shooting stars and it will take you breath away. The stars really twinkle when you are away from the city lights. Lots of wildlife like deer, black squirrels and beautiful birds. Great hot tub to to rest your weary bones.
Mike and Maggie were very helpful in booking the trip--thanks to them for helping us with our home away from home !!

WOW...is the only word said when we pulled up. What a beautiful house and property to be able to enjoy. Like said in other posts, the photos helped but it is better in person! We had 5 adults and one child...oh yea and one dog. We all had enough room and was able to do our own things if we wanted. The cabin was clean, well kept, and well decorated. The hot tub was great and you cannot beat the view day or night....step out on the deck at night with all the lights off for a spectacular view of stars! We would recommed this cabin to anyone who wants to RELAX and enjoy Colorado. I wanted to thank the owners for letting us use such a gorgeous house and Maggie. You are wonderful to work with and will recommend you to others! If you are wanting to relax, hike, site see, enjoy family, honeymoon, or just get away...this cabin is perfect! We loved in and will be back! Thanks again...

After returning from our trip I just had to write a review of our experience. My family of eight, 2 young children and 6 adults decided to do something a little different this year for Christmas. I'm sure glad that we did!!!!!!!! Upon driving towards the cabin is when the calming, peace of seeming like you are in the middle of nowhere begins to hit you. Not one picture, though they tried, gives this home ANY justice! This cabin is something that you HAVE to experience first hand.Having eight people in one place you would think would be cramped, not in this cabin. Everyone had plenty of space for then self's. Once we unpacked we did not get into our vehicles until we left three days later. There was NO need to. Everything was at our finger tips (and more). We had a herd of deer between 10-12 right outside of the cabin our last day. Some within 5 feet. It made for some amazing pictures, but the memories aren't bad either. My husband who is a nature freak loved hiking, rock climbing and scouting out the area.To say that we will go back is an understatement!!!!!!!!!!! We wil make it a point to re-visit this cabin as well as tell all of our friends! Thanks to Maggie (the property manager)everything was smooth sailing! The memories will last a life time!

What a great experience we had at this home. There were seven of us (4 adults), and never felt cramped. The first thing we noticed when we walked toward the cabin was the incredible view. We have rented several cabins, and this one has the best view we've seen. the location is remote, so I'd recommend taking everything you need. A quick trip for some milk is just not going to happen. The kitchen is well-equipped with wonderful Kitchen-Aide appliances. There are two HD TV's (40" and 60") with satellite, but no DVD player. The 60 inch HD was almost as intoxicating as the scenery, but not quite (i went during football season). Hiking the property, climbing rocks, wildlife, this place has it all. We will definitely return!! The only other thing I'd recommend is to bring your own deck chairs. The deck is huge, but we found only two chairs. Also, Maggie was wonderful to deal with, and even drove out to the cabin to deliver us some dishwashing detergent. GREAT TRIP!!!!!

the pictures, which are nice, still don't do justice to either the location or the house. it's a high end model home situated in a remote and spectacular location. like everyone else, we were knocked over when we got here, even though we had read the reviews. comes with hot cocoa. everyone gets their own room on their own floor with their own bathroom = everyone is happy.

The photos on the web site do not show the true beauty of this cabin - it is stunning! The location, while quite remote, is well worth the extra driving distance. The hot tub on the back deck, was a wonderful addition to our stay - we found it relaxing and the vews from the hot tub, of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range, is inspiring!! I have never been in a place, anywhere on earth, that is so quiet - you can hear your own heart beat out on the deck. Our party had 4 adults and 2 children - more than enough room for all of us. The cabin was well stocked with necessary items: towels, soap, bathroom tissue, etc... The kitchen was also well stocked with many food items and kitchen utensils. Every inch of the cabin is well maintained, clean and well decorated. There is a grocery store (Venture Foods) in Cripple Creek - about a 25 min drive and Evergreen Gas Station has some basics you might need - about 10 mins from the cabin. The town of Woodland Park (about 40 mins away) has many resstaurants and shopping areas - we enjoyed the historic Ute Inn for lunch and dinner. We took part in many local activities: White Water Rafting, fishing at Eleven Mile Canyon, Pikes Peak, etc.....absolutley the best area we have been to in Colorado. Overall, this cabin and its location are a PERFECT 10! Consider this vaction spot......you will not be dissapointed!

My family just returned from staying at this house and enjoyed it so much that we're already planning our next summer vacation here. It was so peaceful and the setting was so beautiful that pictures don't do it justice. The kids couldn't wait each day to get back to our "Colorado home" to explore, climbing on the rocky hills and run through the trees. Wildlife galor! The house was equipped better than any other rental we've had. It was central to all of the excursions that we planned. You won't be disappointed! The property managers were wonderful!

My husband, I and our two girls took a trip up to florriscant back during memorial weekend and I must say that the house was way better than we expected. The home was very private, comfortable, well equipped and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Short driving distance to town and lots to do in the area. Very relaxing and quiet atomosphere and nothing but beautiful nature around. We had a great relaxing stay and will definitely be returning often.

We just returned from our stay at this home in Colorado. It was our first family vacation to Colorado and it was awesome. Being the first time ever renting a vacation house, and renting it off of a web site was a little scary. We didn't quit know what to expect. Well, the pictures don't give the home, or the location justice. This home and location was far better than we dreamed it would be. Everything was perfect. We had plans to do a lot of site seeing, but we found it just as enjoyable to stay around the house and hike around the property. The few times that we did leave, we went to site in Colorado Springs, the town of Cripple Creek, and the Royal Gorge, and they were all within a short driving distance as this site says. If you are thinking about renting a place in the mountains, this is the perfect place. We are already thinking about when we can go back. The Carrolls
