Ritima and Kabeer were great! Very welcoming and take pride in their property. Post hurricane, you wouldn't even know the place was in the path. Pros: -Very nice welcome from the owners. Different feeling than you get form checking into a hotel. -The complex is right on Long Bay and full of action for kite boarding or just sun bathing with a nice breeze. - Water is pretty shallow in the bay as far as the eye could see. Great playground for water sports but not for snorkeling. -Accommodations in the apartment were adequate. We had all the amenities you would expect with washer/dryer, pots/pans, stove, coffee maker, etc.. Cons: -No maid service during the week we were there. Might have been nice to have this offered mid week into a one week stay. -1 bedroom we rented had a garden view although we thought we were renting something with a water view. This could have been a little clearer on the website. -A little bit of signage would be great. This way to "check in" or this way to "the beach"... At the end of the day, we'd stay here again. The pros far outweigh any cons...

If you are looking for a beautiful property in the Turks and Caicos, this is it. The surroundings are filled with outstanding landscaping and very well maintained! It made each villa very private. We stayed in the 2bedroom Villa Esencia with the car and it was so nice to have a car to get around. We were lucky enough to get to move into the Karana Penthouse our last few days there...WOW! The penthouse is unbelievable! Great space with gorgeous views! If you choose to stay at this property, all the villas are beautiful, but the penthouse will spoil you!! The beach was private and so relaxing. There were nice chairs, cabanas, and SO fun watching all the kite surfers! Ritama was an excellent hostess, and saw to our every need! Hopefully we will return to Turks and Caicos, and will definitely stay here!

Très beau condo et bien situé pour l'accès facile à la plage Les propriétaires sont sympathiques et Kite friendly. Petites choses à améliorer: Laisser des choses de base pour la cuisine tel que sel et poivre, plus de serviettes et linges à vaisselle, couteau à pizza ( rouleau), couteaux de cuisine de meilleur qualité, une vrai machine à café serait grandement apprécié, windex, désinfectants à comptoir, savons à linge. Plus de vaisselles éviterait l'utilisation fréquente du lave-vaisselle. Le petit sentier pour accès à la plage est trop étroit pour le transport du matériel de kitesurf. Nous pensons revenir l'an prochain.

My husband and I spent a week in this wonderful place, in spite that we did not have ANY wind at all to kite surf, we spent an amazing week. We did paddle surf, kayaking, among other things. Every day for breakfast we did what we really know!!! Argentinnean BBQ on the beach!! Tks Ritama for your hospitality

Villa Esencia es un lugar estupendo, y sin duda merece la pena la estancia. Mi esposo, nuestros hijos de 3 y 6 años y yo, pasamos 8 días allí y definitivamente fueron nuestras mejores vacaciones en todos los aspectos: muy buenas instalaciones, la villa esta totalmente equipada, el servicio es excelente ya que Ritama y su esposo estuvieron atentos a todos los detalles, entorno natural inmejorable e inmediatamente al lado de una playa preciosa, piscina hermosa, kitesurf en frente del hotel... que mas se puede pedir? volveremos! familia Scavella

We have been to Turks and Caicos many times and this time we chose to stay away from all the major action of Grace Bay, we wanted something more tranquil. We felt we got a lot more than we wanted. The place was very clean and the very small walk thru the vegetation to the beach was very nice and inspiring. The beach was clean and pretty deserted. You can walk for a mile into the ocean, very cool and clean. There is a shipwreck a few miles off the coast and I really wanted to make it there but we didn't have the opportunity to do so. Ritama was very nice and accommodating. We didn't see anything around which is the way we wanted!! I would recommend a car, we got one a day after we were there. We will need one to get groceries, which is like any other grocery store in North America and remember, in the Turks, they don't sell Liquor on Sunday's. You can still drink at bars and restaurants but you can't buy anything retail. Thanks Ritama!! We had a great time...

We spent 7 days at Villa Esencia and were very sad to leave, but thankfully plan to return in a few months. This property is truly perfect in every way and I am a discerning world traveler. Owners Ritama and Kabir were interesting and amazing people that will be lifelong friends. The cottage is new and there was little expense spared, from building materials to furnishings. It has everything you need for your stay, making you feel as though you are home…nicely furnished kitchen with quality appliances, outdoor grill and table, washer and dryer, comfortable bed with quality linens, wifi that reached the beach. Having a private pool truly made our stay even more special. We were very pleased with the location of the property and happy that we were on Long Bay Beach instead of the more crowded Grace Bay. You are only a 5 minute drive to Grace Bay and all of the restaurants and shops there, so it is truly the best of both worlds. There is a nice constant breeze on this side of the island that keeps you much cooler. Prior to arrival I read that Long Bay was very windy, however it is not too strong and I was very thankful for it! The 3 mile stretch of Long Bay is also much quieter. We saw less than 5 people on the beach the entire time we were there. The beach and water are truly breathtaking...beautiful white sand and calm, clear turquoise water. There are nice cushioned lounge chairs and large tiki huts with hammocks that are perfectly spaced for maximum privacy. It was fun to watch the kite boarders in action…this stretch of beach is evidently one of the top spots in the world for kite boarding. We planned to explore the island, but rarely wanted to leave the property because it was so peaceful and perfect. I highly recommend this property and can’t contemplate any complaints one would have with it. We were able to unplug and truly relax in the beauty of the Turks and Caicos. We have stayed on Gracebay several times and decided to try the quieter side of the island so we chose Villa Esencia Suites on Long Bay. We were so happy we did as it was absolutely perfect ! We stayed on the 2nd floor and our view overlooked the gorgeous green canopy with the blue ocean at the end of the horizon. We loved that it was so quiet and the fact that most days we were only one of two or three couples on the entire beach. Ritama and Kabir could not have been more gracious hosts and have thought of everything to make their guests comfortable. One thing I'll note that was great about the apartment was that the phone was connected through the internet so we could call home with no charge at all. We both can't wait to go back !!

This is the ideal place for a laid back vacation on the beach! The villas are beautiful and the vibe that Kabir and Ritama have created in thier oasis that is just plain awesome. As a kitesurfer this place rocks! With compressed air and self launch poles right on the beach, you can easily and safely get on the water when ever you want. Super quiet, with no restaurants or bars, this side of the island has a constant on shore breeze and a shallow sandy beach that stretches for miles. You are just a short drive/taxi to great restaurants & shopping too.

we stayed here for a week with our kids, ages 10 and 13. villa esencia is the perfect place to stay if you want to relax and watch the water and take a breather from busy life! we absolutely loved our week-long stay in our 2-bedroom suite. though our villa only had a small view of the water from our kitchen, the private cabana that comes with the suite became a home away from home for us. we had our coffee here in the morning and our wine and dinner in the evenings. it was absolute paradise! our kids loved the pool and snorkeling off the beach and especially gogi and seven, the resident dogs who joined us nightly for happy hour and dinner. they were so sweet! kabir and ritama are most gracious hosts and we enjoyed chatting with them. they were very attentive to our needs and have their property set up for kiteboarding with much ease. the compressed air as well as the self launch and land stake in the ground made this a kiter's paradise. we highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone who is looking to unwind and relax in a beautiful and peaceful setting.
