The owner Johannes met us in the village and showed us the house. It was an easy half hour drive from the airport. There is a really steep path up to the house if you park on the main road below where we parked every day but if it’s a problem you can park above the house on the higher road. It’s a lovely comfortable character house with a great terrace, balconies on both bedrooms and a pretty garden. It was immaculately presented with flowers in every room. There is only one bathroom which is downstairs but that wasn’t really a problem. We loved the house and Ano Korakiana especially the friendly Piazza bar in the evenings. Great location and easy to reach either side of Corfu or to the villages in the mountains. There are 3 small shops in the village but no taverna which is a shame but Kato Korakiana and Doukades are only 10 minutes drive. Lovely square and tavernas in Doukades. We had a small problem with the booking but the owner Johannes and his son Max went to a lot of trouble to sort it out and were available for any queries. Highly recommended!

Wir haben eine Woche in diesem rustikalen Haus verbracht, es war wunderschön und die Gastgeber waren sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das Haus ist liebevoll renoviert und hat sehr viel Charme, die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Wegen der engen Gassen kann man mit dem Auto nicht bis an das Haus fahren, so dass man seine Einkäufe ein wenig tragen muss. Wir haben den Blick von den Terrassen und Balkonen sehr genossen. Sehr empfehlenswert,

Isolated in a quiet and picturesque village but still just a 10 minutes drive from nearest beach and main summer events, this house is ideal for families . Very spacious, very clean and supplied with all necessary utensils. We liked very much our romantic family dinners under the candle lights, looking the twinkling moonlight on the see surface in the distance. Mr Hofmann was an excellent host taking care we haven't missed anything during our stay.

It's a very well-equipped house with many kitchen and entertainment facilities in a beautiful setting, in a very old and unspoiled village. We loved the garden and outdoor sitting area best as we visited it during a very hot spell but it has a spacious living room with comfortable seats, a dining table and a nice fireplace and central heating as well. Also, it's ideally situated to tour the whole of the island, North and South, which we did. We are already planning to return in more clement weather so we can do some trekking as well!

Our host was extremely freindly, spoke outstanding English and was very hospitable. The cottage was clean, tastefully decorated and felt larger than it looked in the pictures. The kitchen was well uitilized and the owners often left some fresh vegetables from their yard. The garden terras was adequate and very pleasant with some nice flowering plants, From the garden you have a splendid view over the hills and you even had sea view out to one side. To our surprise the upstairs bedrooms all had balcony's so that was great. The Wifi worked fine and the satelite TV came with a DVD player and an enormous DVD collection. The town, built up against the hill was queite and had a couple of shops. The road to the pebbled east coast (Ipsos) 10-15 minutes was a straightforward drive. The sandy west coast was a bit further (about 25 minutes). The beaches there were are favorites. All in all it we had a great stay and we really liked touring the Island. If we go back to Corfu we will most certainly be staying at Korakiana again. The Plokker Familty.
