Our family had a great time in Belen's and Antonio's ecosuites cave. The cave has ideal location for people who don't like crowded and commercial places (especially in COVID times), it's only 15minutes by car from Santa Cruz. The cave is also very good equipped. Belen and Antonio are super friendly and nice people and we highly recommend staying in their cave!

The "cave" was perfect for our family of 3. I worked as well and the wifi is excellent. The location is really immersed in nature, but with a car is quite close to the beautiful La Laguna (UNESCO Heritage site), to some great beaches (would recommend playa las teresitas) and to Santa Cruz where there is some excellent dining. We also did a hiking tour with Antonio that was really something special. Belen and Antonio are two amazing hosts, very responsive to any question/need arising. I would highly recommend staying here. By the way if you visit Tenerife please come to the north which is way, way nicer than the southern part of the island!

This “cave” is a very tasteful little apartment in a picturesque setting. We enjoyed Beléns hospitality for 4 nights and relaxed, hiked and ate fresh eggs every day, straight from their chickens. The combination of a high standard of furniture, equipment and service with the raw surrounding nature, away from the busy cities around, is worth a stay! Also give the local restaurants and grocery store a try - a piece of authentic Tenerife.

If you are looking to stay far away from the usually packed (and somehow artificial) hotel resorts, and are looking for something special , then this is THE place you should go to. We stayed 13 days with my 2 teenagers (17 and 14) and had a fantastic time. The location:it is located in the north of the island (i.e. the green part) , very close to (but outside of ) La Laguna so it is very easy and pretty quick to get to the shops to buy food etc. It is very quite and the apartment ( built into the rock) is extremely well equipped and comes with fine materials as reflected by the photos. It is amazing how the temperature keeps constant without the need for air conditioning: the outside temperature reached 38C days for a couple of days whilst we constantly had 24C inside. Even though it is a "cave" , it is not dark inside thanks to a large glass door and a natural skylight in the bedroom (of which the opening can be electronically controlled - smartly done!) What we really liked: many things, impossible to sum them all up, so here are a few : the kindness and availability of the owners Belen and Antonio, always reachable via WhatsApp (and on site) in case we had a question; Upon arrival we got a nice big plate of fruit , a cava bottle but also all the other products (coffee, bread, jam, pastries, etc) that you would typically need immediately to go out and buy to be able to have breakfast the next day(s) ... something we did not have to do , uff (many thanks !) The fresh eggs from the 3 chickens that are sweetly and discreetly running around on the property; The eco friendly fresh drink water system (you get bottles that you can regularly fill and put in the fridge); etc etc etc. We had a car to tour around during our entire stay, something you will probably need if you stay in the eco caves. The closest beach is about 20 minutes drive but, frankly, there are so many more things to see and visit ... also having the (beautiful) swimming pool place at our disposal did really entice us to spend extensive time on beaches... In short, we had a super vacation.

The owners have 3 rescued donkeys which you can meet when you arrive. The outdoor pool is located behind their house but was too cold for us to use in January. The 3 chickens can range over the outdoor gravel area which is where you park your car. There is a bus service to the village a few times a day but you really need a car to go anywhere. There area couple of restaurants and a mini-market within walking distance in the village. The one on the main road was only open at lunchtime but we ate at the one up the hill and had an excellent goat stew. We used the lower bedroom as it is next to the toilet; it was the first one we has used with an electric flush. The double bed was very comfortable. You collect your drinking water from a dispenser in the wall of the outside area. There are lots of unlabelled light switches.

Fantástica casa rural con todas las comodidades , moderna y acogedora , con 2 gallinas que ponen 2 huevos todos los días y 3 burras preciosas. Los anfitriones muy amables y te informan de todo lo que necesitas. Piscina ,jardín ..... Pueblo tranquilo , con bonitos paseos y cerca de Santa Cruz. Ha sido una maravillosa estancia , repetiremos. Es sorprendente encontrar un lugar como éste, que une a la perfección todas las comodidades del siglo XXI con la sensación extrema de paz y tranquilidad. Un lugar moderno y ecológico, donde se puede dormir (literalmente) en total silencio y oscuridad, dejando a un lado el estress de la ciudad. Recomendable 100%, sobre todo para los que deseen disfrutar de los pequeños detalles y probar la "Experiencia Cueva". Ideal para venir con niños: las nuestras disfrutaron enormemente de la piscina, pero sobre todo, de las Burritas Pancha, Julia y Luna. ¡Gracias por vuestra hospitalidad y trato cercano!

Hemos pasado una semana en familia en la mejor de las casas que podíamos haber elegido. Todo nuevo, ordenado y limpio. Muy bien situada para poder desplazarte por la isla y al mismo tiempo ideal para estar unos días de relax, con todo lo necesario para sentirnos como en casa. Para nosotros ha sido un acierto, y repetiremos en cuanto podamos.

Unsere Flitterwoche bei Belen und Antonio war rundum wunderschön. Das Anwesen der beiden ist riesengroß und liegt inmitten saftigster Natur des Valle Jiménez. Von hier aus kann man kürzere oder längere Wanderungen unternehmen, die beiden tollen Restaurants in der Umgebung besuchen, nach Santa Cruz laufen (oder mit dem Bus/Auto runterfahren)... oder man bleibt einfach direkt an Ort und Stelle um die Sonne auf einer der vielen Liege- und Sitzmöglichkeiten zu genießen, den Pool und die Außenküche zu nutzen oder - und das war unsere bevorzugte Beschäftigung - die drei geselligen Eseldamen Julia, Pancha und Luna zu besuchen. Es war wunderbar, ihnen einfach beim Fressen zuzusehen, mit ihnen zu spielen und sogar einmal mit ihnen und Belen und Antonio einen ausgedehnten Spaziergang zu machen. Die beiden menschlichen Gastgeber sind genauso herzlich und angenehm, wir haben es sehr genossen uns mit ihnen zu unterhalten und fühlten uns sehr willkommen. Trotzdem liefen wir uns kaum über den Weg, weil jeder seinen eigenen Bereich hatte. Die Höhlenwohnung ist eine echte Überraschung - sie ist sehr geschmackvoll und luxuriös ausgestattet, sogar mit Jacuzzi-Badewanne und zwei Smart-TVs mit Netflix. Wir bekamen ein großes Willkommensgeschenk, bestehend aus vielen Leckereien aus der Region und toller Flitterwochen-Dekoration. Obwohl wir gerne in spanischen Bars frühstücken, haben wir jeden Morgen vor der Höhle in der Sonne das erste Mahl eingenommen, das wir zuvor in der gut ausgestatteten Küche zubereitet hatten. Häufig gab es dazu auch frische Eier, die die Hühner vor unserer Tür ablegten. Belen und Antonio haben für sich und ihre tierische Familie ein kleines Paradies erschaffen, an dem sie ihre Besucher teilhaben lassen. Wir haben immer noch Abschiedsschmerz und werden sobald wie möglich wiederkommen!
