Recently returned from a weeks stay at 14 Channel View, St Ives and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and well presented on our arrival with good amenities to use. The house has plenty of space, we had 3 couples, one with 1.5 year old and it didn't feel cramped at all. Kitchen is well equipped should you wish to cook, which we made use of on 3 out of the 7 nights we stayed.
The top floor bedroom has outstanding views across Porthmeor Beach, great to be able to see what is happening with the surf! The only issue with this great view is the great hill to get up, especially with a buggy! Good for the cardio exercise though so I wouldn't let this put anyone off staying there.
The owners Kim & Steve had been very accommodating for us, allowing us to reschedule the booking from 2020 during the Covid lockdowns to 2021. This was greatly appreciated and they were very helpful through the stay.
Overall I can't fault this as a great place to stay in St Ives and the fact it has parking for 3 cars too is a great bonus!

Great location if you don't mind a hill!
Fantastic location, great choice of restaurants (you need to book in advance), great parking and beautiful beaches and wonderful shops. The house literally could be so much better if a bit of TLC was applied to things like the bedding quality, furniture very old, chipped mug!. A lot of money for 5 nights.

Lovely house, great location.
We stayed for a week in the Easter holidays, our Party consisted of 4 adults, 3 kids, and a baby. The house was a perfect size for us. On the first floor there was a large double room which fitted the travel cot in with plenty of extra room, and a twin room, and on the second floor there was another double room and a room with bunk beds. The travel cot provided was really good, and really comfy, and had a proper mattress rather than the rubbish that usually come with a travel cot. The beds were super comfy, and fabulous view of Porthmeor beach from the windows. The kitchen was really well kitted out, including plastic cups, plates and bowls for kids. The utility room had a washing machine and tumble dryer, which with 2 toddlers who decided to take a fully clothed dip in the sea, was a saviour! The shed outside has some beach stuff in, bucket, spades, balls.
It’s a 5 minute downhill walk to the beach, and 10 minute walk to town. Probably quicker if you don’t have kids with you. The hills are steep on your way back to the house, but it’s more than manageable, I did it numerous times with a baby in the pram and a 3 year old on a buggy board. Helped to burn off those Cornish pasties!
Room to park 4 cars on a drive opposite the house.
Really lovely house, great location, would definitely recommend and book again.

Perfect, 'home from home' house
This is a perfectly situated property, well placed for anything you want in St Ives, from surfing, walking (remember those hills) to relaxing, eating or exploring! Everything you might need in a family home is provided, ( including books, dvds, games etc.) and it really does feel like you are at home! The owners are lovely, approachable, welcoming, and helpful. We had a super break here, with teenagers and my 79 year old mum, (who thoroughly enjoyed watching the surfers everyday from one of the bedroom windows, sat in a quaint rocking chair). The parking spaces are a real bonus, and if the hill is a challenge at anytime, the taxis in St Ives are excellent for short journeys! ( best to Pre book) Very happy! 🏄♀️🍷🍽

Lovely house, perfect location
Fantastic house in perfect location with big kitchen for family meals if eating in. Great washing facilities and outdoor area at the back and front of house. However if a bit unsteady on your legs it was quite a hike up the hill.

Great view
The view of Porthmeor Beach from the house is outstanding. This drives a rental premium for quite ordinary accommodation.

Great setting to get to know St ives
The house is well appointed and well placed for exploring St Ives. Orientation notes supplied by Steve and Kim were very useful including laminated town map, as was the refreshment tray on arrival. We were seven people having a uni reunion so the car parking spaces in front of the house Came in handy. Tate St Ives and Barbara Hepworth museum are close by and there were plenty of good restaurants. We did the walking tour from the Tourist information - a good way of getting to know the place and its history. The seal colony at Godrivy point was worth a visit. We also headed to The Lizard and Trebah sub-tropical gardens - both very scenic. All in all - a very enjoyable week away. The sunshine also helped. The whole experience was idyllic - blue seas, blue skies and the pink light.

Fabulous accommodation
Great accommodation and great location. I booked this for a group of friends for a mini break and to celebrate new year. Amazing place to be with lots going on. Great party atmosphere. Couldn't have wished for better. Avcomodation first class. A note to let people know it was up a very steep
Hill.. but as was said to me .. no hills , no views and views were spectacular

A fantastic place to stay
We had a great week in this pleasant house in St. Ives. Good location with super sea view, esp. from upper windows. Well equipped, comfortable property. Easy reach of Porthminster beach, town centre, and coastal walks. Free parking a distinct advantage.
It's on a hill, so it's a bit of a climb coming back from the town; we're not exactly young, and we managed fine. We never used it, but there is a regular bus service passing the end of the street, just a few metres away.
We would certainly stay here again if we come back to St. Ives.

Excellent well positioned & furnished property with plenty of space for eight people & good parking facility
Thanks for a great holiday with excellent communication & advice. The facilities were first class & the property well kept. Parking in St Ives is very limited & this property provide us with space for four cars. The location was ideal for the beach,walking in to town & travelling to local venues.
We hired it as a centre for a daughters wedding in Carbis Bay on the 6th May & it catered for my wife & I plus two daughters & their husbands who both had children.
Couldn't have wished for better
