Pendra Loweth is an award-winning garden village that was constructed in a picturesque wooded valley just outside of Falmouth. There are tennis courts, a playground, gym and splash pool (splash pool currently closed due to COVID restrictions) as well as a small bar/cafe all available to those on-site. Trouts Reach is a beautifully presented cottage, with an open plan kitchen, lounge and diner, French doors that lead onto a private terrace which opens out onto a communal lawned area. The terrace is a sun trap in the afternoons and the lawns are dappled in shade from mature trees which all lead up to the woodlands which surround the village. Falmouth is a short drive away and here you can enjoy the wealth of fine restaurants and thriving pubs that this vibrant town has to offer. Explore from the Prince of Wales Pier to Custom House Quay, Events Square, where the Falmouth Oyster Festival and the shore-side activities for Falmouth Week are based, and the National Maritime Museum. There are also regular ferries from the Prince of Wales Pier and Custom House Quay that are well worth a day trip with destinations such as the beautiful St Mawes and the Roseland Peninsula or further up the River Fal to Trelissick Gardens, Malpas or Truro. Alternatively, you can explore down the Lizard and find the majestic lighthouse and England's most southerly headland and lighthouse, the stunning Kynance Cove or the quiet of the Helford River and the inspiration for Daphne Du Maurier's Frenchmans Creek. Accommodation Ground Floor: Small entrance porch to the front door which enters into the hallway with stairs to the first floor, WC with hand basin, Open plan kitchen/living room and diner. The kitchen has fully fitted units and appliances, there are comfortable sofas, dining table and chairs, Smart TV with catch up, French doors leading to the private patio: First Floor: The stairs open onto a landing with doors to; Master bedroom with 4'6" double bed and storage, Second bedroom with 4'6" double bed and storage. Twin bedroom with 2 x 3' beds and storage, woodland views from the master and twin bedroom. Family bathroom with shower over the bath, WC and hand basin. Exterior: There is a designated parking space 10m from the property and other visitors' spaces if required in the communal parking area. There is a private patio with picnic table and a charcoal kettle barbecue. There are also communal gardens throughout the village with areas laid to lawn and plenty of woodland walks. Facilities & Services There is electric heating throughout with night storage and ‘on-demand' radiators downstairs, and ‘on-demand' heaters on the first floor. The kitchen has a range of cupboards & worktops. There are an electric oven and hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, combined fridge and freezer. The sitting room has a digital Smart TV with catch up and Netflix and a DVD player. There are a cot and highchair available on request. There is a washing machine in the kitchen and there are separate, communal laundry facilities on site. There is unlimited broadband WiFi at 50Mbps. There are stair gates available if required. Miscellaneous Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. There is parking available for 1 car in a designated parking slot outside the property and more in the communal parking area if required. Regrettably, there is no smoking. Unfortunately dogs are not accepted at Trouts Reach. Pendra Loweth is a holiday village, and the PL management company stipulates on behalf of owners that sign written or trade vehicles are not parked on site, nor any business stays. General Booking Information Arrival / Departure is normally a Saturday. Short breaks are available during quieter periods. £250 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required.Mehr
