Villa Verandah is a beautiful space with an enchanting Caribbean style and feel. Views of the ocean to the west, wilderness to the north/south/east. The wrap around terraces accommodate all manner of family activity. The great hall with kitchen and family room is perfect during the summer rain showers: the house comfortably fits 8 adults.. The swimming pool is a great respite from the beach. The setting is quiet and peaceful. The location is a five minute car ride to Oualie beach, 10 minutes to paradise beach (our favorite) and 15 minutes to Pinney's beach. Peter is a wonderful host. Through his contacts Peter arranged our taxi ride from St. Kitts airport to Reggae beach from which we took a boat across the channel to Oualie beach; our rental car we picked up at Oualie beach, an escort to the Villa and a tour of the Villa's amenities; as well as our transportation on the return leg. If you are visiting Nevis for the first time: make sure to plan a trip to the Valu Mart IGA grocery which is just east of downtown Charlestown, about 25 minutes by car from Villa Verandah. We also highly recommend the Gin-Trap restaurant (10 minute walk from the Villa): great drinks and appetizers with a dynamite view of the channel. For a special occasion, we recommend Bananas (25 minute drive from the Villa). We highly recommend Villa Verandah for a wonderful vacation.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable week at Villa Verandah. We were a party of 9 made up of 4 adults, 4 children and a toddler. We had plenty of room, the layout is great with the main bedroom on the top floor with ensuite and adjoining single bedroom which was perfect for us with our toddler. The rest of the bedrooms are downstairs and a mix of doubles and a twin. The property is what I would say as traditionally decorated (Caribbean style) which we loved. The kitchen has all the mod cons you'll need, dishwasher, oven, microwave etc and there is also a washing machine. The best thing about this house, especially for families is the outside space. A full verandah runs round the whole of the house, there is an outside dining area with comfy chairs and bar that is fully mosquito netted and we spent most our evenings here enjoying the cool breeze, eating and relaxing. The pool is great and can be seen from the outside area, our children just loved running round enjoying the outside space! The villa was lovely and clean and the maid changed bedding/towels and cleaned midweek whilst we were there. Location wise you are 10 minutes max walk from Oualie beach which again is best on the island for children...calm water and shallow, sloping coastline perfect for not do confident swimmers! We had an amazing time at Villah Verandah, the local Nevisians are absolutely lovely. Nevis is a beautiful Island we were just disappointed we didn't stay for two weeks. We will definitely be back!! Our family of 6 including 4 young adults (age 20 to 14) stayed 1 week in Villa Verandah in March 2016. The house is configured well for teenagers with lots of space and area to spread out. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom, a plus. The master is on the first level with 3 other bedrooms on the lower level. There is a large porch that wraps around the house and includes a screened in portion. The pool is new with a pleasant "waterfall". We only fixed breakfast in the kitchen so did not push it's limits with lunches or dinners. Beds are super firm. Clean with good linens and towels.

Villa Verandah is a spacious home with a master suite located on the main floor and three bedrooms located on the lower level. The home is clean and the property is attended to by a local agent and grounds crew. The pool (unheated) was great for a refreshing dip at the beginning and end of the day. The home itself is a bit "tired", not having any appliances or fixtures updated in several years. But they do still function. We like to cook in our rentals and we found the kitchen ware barely adequate in terms of pots and pans. Just fyi, Oualie Beach, about ½ mile away, has dive boats and a bike/kayak rental facility, but they don’t have the other amenities that are listed on the Oualie Beach Website. All told, the villa was a fine place for us to gather with our two adult children and their spouces/signicant others and we had a great week.

We took our two children ages 10 and 7 along with their 82 year old grandmother. Villa Verandah was a great place for young and old alike. It is located on an ideal part of the island. Close to two of the best beaches on the island (Oualie and Pinneys). Nevis is a great place to explore on your own. You do not need to stay on a resort here. Rent a car and explore. The pool and covered porch areas were great and the house is equipped with everything you need from hair dryer to washer and dryer. Peter,the owner, was so helpful with arranging our transfer to the island on the private water taxi(definitely the way to get to Nevis). We were initially going to stay at the Four Seasons. I am so glad we chose Villa Verandah. We will be back!

The Villa Verandah was perfect for our family holiday! There was between 7-9 of us staying at the villa (depending on the time of week) and there was plenty of space for all of us. Mornings/afternoons lounging in the sun by the pool, nights in the screened verandah, and the variety of great restaurants close by made the villa so great for us. Thanks again Peter! lovely villa with stunning wrap-around veranda. beautiful master suite. good kitchen (we cooked dinner every night) . fantastic porch. peter, the owner, could not have been more helpful or pleasant to make arrangements with. and when one of our key-travelers was stranded in england due to the terrible snow, he suggested a very clever re-route (paris>st.maartens>nevis) that literally saved the family christmas. the villa is set in a large tended garden. lovely pool area. 7 minute enjoyable walk to oaulie beach - our favorite beach on the island (the fish tacos - incredible!). also near Gallipot restaurant - very good - and Ms June's that counts Oprah Winfrey among its former diners. monkey's visited the villa's grounds several times - to our great delight. we loved Golden Rock, the bar and south porch at Hermitage, the lobster salad at Montpelier... and Sweet Lips.

We stayed in Nevis because my brother was getting married there and we needed a villa large enough to accommodate 9 of us (6 adults and 3 children). Villa Verandah was perfect - extremely large and well fitted out with a superb swimming pool and gardens. The children loved it. We were visited by the monkeys on several days which was a wonderful experience. Located within reach of everything (car essential). A truly wonderful holiday.

We had a lovely holiday. The villa was extremely comfortable. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the large verandah, enjoying the view, listening to the birds, watching the monkeys, reading and drinking cocktails as the sun set. We enjoyed the luxury of the master bedroom, at the same time feeling guilty as it is such a big property, if we had brought our grown up boys and girlfriends they would have enjoyed the holiday with us. The privacy of the pool was appreciated. We would recommend this to our friends for a really relaxing holiday.

The Villa Verandah was a comfortable and totally relaxing home that included all the amenities in making your holiday wonderful.Relax, sit by the pool, explore the many uninhabited beaches or tour around this friendly island. Every restaurant was superb, everone was helpful and the weather was perfect.
