Unser Zimmer ging auf einen Mini Innenhof mit Klimaanlagen und Mülltonnen. Das Zimmer war klein und trist könnte renoviert werden. Concierge sehr freundlich. Die U-Bahn gleich in der Nähe. Harvard zu Fuß ca 30 Minuten

We are a city hotel and while most of our rooms do have a view overlooking Commonwealth and Massachusetts Avenues, there are some rooms that face the back of the building. We are always happy to accommodate all guest requests. All of the rooms have undergone a recent renovation with updated soft goods, new carpeting, painting, etc. as well. While we do have a handful of smaller guestrooms (standard hotel rooms) we do offer a second room type of one bedroom suites, which have a separate living room and bedroom and more space.
Vom Doorman bis zum Concierge ausnehmend kompetentes und freundliches Personal, ohne die innen USA übliche Übertreibung.
Zimmer schick, sauber , kein chi-chi.
Das angrenzende Restaurant wie fast überall unerträglich laut, haben daher auf das hochberühmte asiatische Essen verzichtet.
Ansonsten ein Haus, das in seiner schlichten Vornehmheit zu der ebensolchen Stadt Boston passt.
Nach dem hektischen lauten und rüden Manhattan eine heilende Erfahrung.

It is true that the combination of old and new which makes Boston so distinctive, in many ways, is exemplified at the Eliot. More importantly, as a hotel committed to personalized service, it is gratifying to know this guest experienced our staff as competent and friendly. Their genuinely caring approach is based on an authentic desire that our guests feel welcomed and well attended to. It is good to know this guest would gladly return to the Eliot. Das Eliot hat sich seine fünf Sterne bei mir vor allem durch den sehr persönlichen, unaufdringlich herzlichen Service verdient. Das findet man heute wirklich nicht mehr häufig: Ein Geschäftspartner konnte nicht zum Meeting kommen - also musst ich das Weihnachtspräsent per Post verschicken. Das Hotel übernahm das ganz mit einem Lächeln. Zweites Beispiel: Als ich morgens vom Joggen am Charles River (auch hierfür liegt das Hotel bestens) zurückkam, drückte man mir ganz selbstverständlich eine Flasche Wasser in die Hand. Es sind diese kleinen, ungefragten Aufmerksamkeiten, die mich wirklich berührten.
Ansonsten: Saubere Zimmer (auch wenn das Bad klein ist), perfekte Lage im Back Bay Viertel, ein leckeres Frühstück und ein wirklich sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.
Ich werde Anfang 2019 wieder nach Boston kommen und natürlich im Eliot buchen.

Wir waren im September 2018 für drei Nächte in einer Suite im "Eliot Hotel".
Die Lage ist sehr angenehm, die Zimmer sind geräumig und gut eingerichtet, mit Sessel, Sofa, Schreibtisch - einzig das Bad ist wirklich sehr klein. Angesichts der Hotelpreise in Boston bietet das Hotel ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.
Gutes japanisches Restaurant; dort auch gute Cocktails und - nicht im Zimmerpreis inbegriffenes - sehr gutes Frühstück. Der Service ist ausgezeichnet.
Von hier aus ist letztlich alles fussläufig erreichbar, zum Hafen sind es insgesamt durch sehr schöne Quartiere etwa 45 Minuten.
Um die Ecke an der Newbury Street hat es zwei öffentliche Parkings (Pilgrim Parking: 32 $ pro Nacht), das Hotel bietet auch Valet Parking um die 50 $.

It really is a combination of our boutique hotel's spacious and comfortable rooms, a super-convenient location n Boston's elegant and fashionable Back Bay district, and peronalized service provided by our genuinely caring staff that helps us create such positive guest experiences. Guests of the Eliot are also fortunate to have Boston's #1 rated restaurant, UNI, just off our lobby. Uni, "an Izakaya," or Japanese gastropub, also features an inovative cocktail bar that together, deliver culinary excellence. I hope to have the pleasure of welcoming this guest back once more the next time he may have an opportunity to visit Boston.
Lage:
Sehr gute Lage in Back Bay bzw. Fenway. Zu den Sox kann man gut zu Fuß laufen. Das Ende der Newbury Street liegt 1 Minute entfernt. Ebenfalls gute Anbindung an die Green Line Subway und den Boston Airport Shuttle.
Zimmer/Ausstattung:
Alles war in Ordnung, gut gepflegt und sehr sauber. Minibar, Fön, Schirm usw alles vorhanden. Auch Klimaanlage natürlich.
Frühstück:
A la Carte gab es bei uns nur. Continental Breakfast wurde leider nicht mehr angeboten. Haben diverse Bagelketten und Cafés in der unmittelbaren Umgebung aufgesucht. Von daher ok.
Service:
Top. Wird hier groß geschrieben und auch so praktiziert. Alle waren immer nett und freundlich. Super. An der Rezeption wird immer weitergeholfen.
Fazit:
Sehr gute Wahl für einen mehrtägigen Aufenthalt in Boston. Empfehlung von mir!
