After many years of Las Vegas business visits, we accidently fell into the Artisan. Returning from a desert tour across Arizona, we just needed a bed before an early flight the next morning. We found the Artisan for a good rate, and were immediately impressed by the exceptional lobby and rooms: Black walls and ceiling, and framed paintings of mostly European artists all over the walls AND ceiling. Great, unusual thing.
The rooms followed this concept, and from the first moment, I felt like staying here for longer than just a night. Furnishing is sth special, not just standard on a higher or lower level. This hotel isn't what one would expect from an American hotel, and not even in Las Vegas.
Entering my room (guess it was named "Ruben"), I saw parts of the bathroom flooded with water. A leaky pipe connection. Dialing "0" completely solved the problem until we returned from dinner.
The Artisan seems to draw a clientele that loves distinguished places. Time was to short however to find out what kind of clientele this might be. Anyway, it has been nothing annoying to us.
Bed and breakfast were absolutely OK, the hotel a quiet house, but it was January and not the best time for pool parties. Can't tell how it is in summer. Service was prompt and correct, and if nothing has changed, little Artisan is still my favorite among many, many Las Vegas hotels.
