For the rates, the rooms are a definate disappointment. It was a comfortable room, but at $250 a night, I definitely could have gotten a better deal elsewhere. That said, we were there for a formal function and didn't really have a choice of staying somewhere else as there is NOTHING in the area aside from Caesar's.
That said, the event was beautiful! Caesar's did an amazing job and has beautiful banquet facilities. If you're looking to host a major event, this is a PERFECT place. The staff was kind and courteous and never interefered with the festivities. They truly seemed to enjoy their job and were an added benefit to the beautiful decor and ambiance of the room.
Be prepared to buy everything in the hotel including food and any other last minute things as getting in your car and driving to Louisville/Clarksville is just too much of a hassle.
In regard to the hike it requires to reach the casino - moving walkways have been installed for a decent portion of the walk and the hotel now has golf carts that run back and forth for hotel guests throughout the day and the night. They run from the elevators to the area where the shops are. If you specifically need one for you, contact the front desk.
Also, be forewarned, there are 2 parking garages. One for the casino and one for the hotel. Watch when you're coming in so you go the right direction. It was quite a hassle getting turned around when we went the wrong way.
I'm not much of a gambler, but $60 lasted 5 hours on penny slots so we were content and had a wonderful time. If you're looking to do some hard gambling, go to the biggies in Vegas. If you've got a function and no choice, it's not a bad place to stay.
