Thank you for sharing your feedback, although of course I was sorry to read your disappointing review. I was unable to locate you actual reservation date, so allow me to address your renovation concerns below;

Breakfast Restaurant: This restaurant has been completely refurbished during October and November. Including all new soft furnishing, a full refurbishment of the polished concrete floor, brand new lamp shades throughout and renovations of all buffet equipment.

Pool Tiles: 75% of our swimming pools in villa have received new pool tiles in the past 18 months. 100% of pools will be complete within the next six months.

Sun beds: All of the public area sun lounges as well as all restaurant, spa, lobby, guest lounge and public area furnishing have been replaced with all new cushions and fabrics in the past 30 days.

The above is just a short list of the many renovation and refurbishment works completed recently, with further works already planned in to 2020. As such, I can assure that we certainly do take the refurbishment work in the resort very seriously as we aim to deliver only top facilities to our guests.

Once again, I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay, or raise your concerns with any members of management during your stay so that we could address your concerns.

Thank you for sharing your feedback from your recent stay with us at SALA Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort.

I was sorry to read that your stay did not meet with your expectations.

Your comments regarding your Garden Pool Villa are most appreciated. Certainly, our villa's are designed to encourage indoor/outdoor living, so the bedrooms themselves are kept quite minimal with a large area of the villa dedicated to the outdoor gardens, bathrooms, seating areas and of course swimming pools which of course are far larger than the average plunge pool found in most pool villas at this price point (and even higher). Additional storage cabinets can be provided, and should certainly have been offered by our Guest Service team. Please accept my apologies for this service not being offered to you.

Regarding the villa condition, I apologize for your villa being below standard, which should never be the case. I will address this immediately with the relevant departments. We are also currently working through upgrades to all of our pool villas, including new swimming pool surfacing, new air conditioning installation and several other refurbishing tasks.

Our menu pricing is regularly reviewed against competitor resorts within our local area, and in most cases is actually priced below what you can expect to pay at our neighbouring resorts. Of course, we are not able to compete with pricing from local restaurants, whose food quality and hygiene policies are of course not on par with that of 4 and 5 start resorts. In addition, we offer attractive promotion rates throughout the year with special set menu pricing, nightly themed promotions and special menu discounts along with twice daily happy hours.
