There are three/four nice restaurants in the nearby town and a tapas bar which you can walk to if you are reasonably fit (10-15 minutes), but I would definitely hire a car if going here. It is a lovely hotel, but rural as its name suggests and you need a car to get down to the beach restaurants and visit other places. We found the walk to the beach very stony and trying.

Good afternoon Mrs. Jackie, First of all we would like to thank you for your interest in Binigaus Vell. In fact, Binigaus Vell is a rural hotel is situated 2 miles away from the unspoiled beach of Binigaus. This is a natural beach and as natural beach, there are no hotels, no bars, no restaurants, no sun beds... No service. A quiet path leads to this area taking about 40 minutes on a nice and relaxing walk from the hotel. In case you prefer to reach it by car, you have to drive to Santo Tomàs Beach (as you've been there you know how it is) and 10 more minutes walking. In cas you are not planning to hire a car, you can get a bus from Es Migjorn Gran (situated at 1 km. of the hotel, which means around 20 minutes). In there, a part of a bus stop where you can get buses to Mahon, Ciutadella (twice a day) or Santo Tomas (more frequencies) you have bars where you can taste the “Tapas”, restaurants where to discover the Menorcan kitchen and also the Spanish one, post, medical service, chemist, tobacconists, supermarkets, shops..... Also the hotel is got an own restaurant open every day. The breakfast is included at the price and at lunch time the hotel’s restaurant is closed with the only possibility to have something to eat in the afternoon is ordering a pic-nic (to eat at the hotel or carry with you) the day before. You can have dinner from 19:30h to 22h ( maximum arrival time at the restaurant) and we have two different options: “À la Carte” or “Fixed menú” which price is 29’50 €. We propose also (optional) a very adaptable half board formula in which every night and every guest independently, chooses to have dinner “À la Carte” or our “ Fixed Menú” in any case whatever the choice is, the advantage being on half board is that drinks: house wine and water, are included in the price (so are for free). To turn it as much comfortable as possible , the Half Board fits at the point that can be cancelled in case, one night you prefer to go out for dinner (we just request to dinner 75 % of the nights). Because of the flexibility of our half board accommodation, we cannot calculate how much is it per day or per person.
