Disappointing trip, only 1 fire pit between our site and the people next to us, so that was awkward. Sites are small, we had to move the picnic table so we could put our pop up canopy over it then apparently it was too far back on our site, the reason being that in behind your site people and their dogs are coming and going to get to the docks, if we’d have known that we wouldn’t have even put the pop up over the picnic table. So there is zero privacy, just a lot of people coming and going, not very relaxing at all. Won’t be in a hurry to go back there.
In longer work trips I like to be able to prepare my own meals (one can only eat out so much), and despite no indoor plumbing, this little cabin fit the bill perfectly for what I needed. The interior was warm and cozy, kitchen well-equipped, the bugs mostly stayed out, the lake view was sublime and the peaceful tranquility second to none. Yes, you bring your own bedding, but in my opinion this made sleeping easier (I love my pillow). The mattress was older but firm, which suits me just fine. I'd definitely consider staying again for the peacefulness and cooking-ability.
camped in our rv for a couple of nights. close to the highway but heard very little highway noise. campground was very clean and well laid out. the campground operator was very pleasant and helpful. will stay there again.
Service was exceedingly poor; I was told that internet and cable would be provided....there was no TV and when I inquired as to why, I was told that "I haven't got around to connecting it yet", but was told they would install 'right away'...and never did in my five day stay. I left on a Friday, and no one was in office, so I dropped the key and left a note (and have since phoned twice, emailed twice) requesting a copy of my receipt...still waiting to receive it after 1 week. Internet was useless, signal is so poor. Toilet in Cabin #1 is composting....smells and is noisy at all times. The bed in Cabin #1 is very, very poor....broken frame and not bolted/connected to headboard, so when you lie down it skids away from the wall. On the upside, this particular cabin is 20 ft from the lake, with a dock right out front. I would avoid this place given the poor service.…
Beaver Point Resort is on Tchesinkut Lake about 12 kms south of Burns lake and it is a greta spot to camp - great fishing - great hosts just a real nice place to spend time at
