Excellent value. My go to spot for when I need to get away from things. Friendly staff and owners. I heard a bit of noise on the balcony from the house and the road a couple times but inside it was always serene. By 6:00pm the road and business were basically empty and it felt like we owned the whole block. Furniture was cozy and they have a really good set up for movies and tv.
The food was excellent. They left us the usual juice, fruit, toast, et. We didn't expect the thick slices of pea meal bacon and farm eggs to cook for breakfast were AMAZING! We liked that I could cook it up in the little kitchen there, felt like our own private garden cottage.
The place was spotless and everything was set up to make us feel welcome. It was warm enough to leave the big windows open and they have fans and heaters which we haven't had to use yet.
There is a big greenhouse in the front and a bunch of gardens in the back with different kinds of plants and sculptures and fountains waiting to be discovered. Nice and quiet in the gardens, with visitors occasionally walking around to see the plants. Not like the busy city gardens. I heard the owner telling a family about the wild frogs that live there. They have a special pet frog in the store as well.
We used to use AirBNB a lot and we have stayed in many places in the GTA and on vacations elsewhere. This place is our favourite.

I was also disappointed in this accommodation. I wondered what sort of people were writing the positive reviews.
If you are allergic to mould do not stay here. Both bedrooms were so mildewy that none of us could sleep without masks. We were sick by the morning. There is no dehumidifier. The large number of fans used to mask the smell do not mask the smell. For $200 this old place was not worth the money. Stains on the bedspread and dirty, old furniture in the living area did not appeal either. The place advertises a pool which was covered up by an old tarp. When I asked for a partial refund given the fact none of us slept due to the mildew / mould, a man bellowed into the phone "no refund since you already stayed." A ludicrous and mean response. Save your money and stay in a decent hotel in the area instead.

My husband, daughter and I stayed here for five nights, it was wonderful. When we called to do our booking Margaret was so helpful, we needed the two rooms and with her help we were able to rearrange our plans to fit that schedule. The rooms were comfy, clean and very quiet. Margaret left provisions for us to cook our own breakfast in the morning, which was ideal. Some mornings we were up early, others we were just enjoying our surroundings, having coffee on the deck off the kitchen so we could eat when we wanted not on a schedule. Watching the birds and squirrels. The bacon, fruit, muffins were delicious and one morning home made croissants. An added bonus tiramisu cake for a evening snack. The living room was a very comfortable room, had a fireplace which we used one windy wet day, also a cozy window seat overlooking some gardens. Very central location. Margaret made it clear to us that provisions would be provided, we would do the cooking which we were very happy to do. We were three adults but we had plenty of room, the stay here was a very relaxing holiday. If I lived closer I would book myself in for a week when I needed that time to unwind. Thanks Margaret for a perfect stay. Trip Advisor - further in your survey your compare this to a hotel, it is not a hotel therefore none of those questions would apply

We had booked Burleys Gardens and Suite as a B&B and, indeed, the notice on the door welcomed B&B guests. When we were shown the quarters it immediately seemed like 2 separate bedrooms with shared bathroom, living room, and kitchen facilities.
The bedroom was large enough, with a comfortable bed, but I was struck by the fact that there was only 1 night table (on my wife's side), no radio or alarm clock, and only 1 reading lamp (on the night table). I use a CPAP machine and had to find a folding table in the kitchen to use as a nightstand on my side of the bed to hold my machine.
When Margaret (our host) showed us the facilities, she pointed out the remote controls for TV, cable box, and Netflix. She told us she was "technology challenged" and had no idea how to work the remotes. She did, however, mention that Netflix offered movies etc. When we figured out the remotes we discovered that the Netflix system only allowed us previews and that if we wanted to watch anything it was Pay Per View. We certainly didn't need the TV as we had already had a long day, but we thought that it was rather misleading to advertise a service and then expect your guests to pay for it.
Our last disappointment was "breakfast" as you expect from a B&B. Our breakfast consisted of a plate wrapped in plastic wrap, containing 2 slices of store-bought bread, 2 sickly sweet commercially made muffins, 2 Ziploc bags containing 2 sweetened cereals, and a couple of oranges. In the fridge was a bowl of eggs, 2 slices of ham on a plastic wrapped plate, and a small jug of milk sealed with plastic wrap. In the door of the fridge were some packets of jam, etc. There were also a couple of boxes with various teas and 4 Keurig coffee pods. Now, we have stayed in a number of B&Bs in Canada and Europe and I must say, we have never been presented with a "do it yourself" breakfast, and anywhere else we have stayed, the breakfast was cooked and served by the hosts, and had home baking and healthy cereal alternatives, as well as choices of home-cooked hot food.
For this experience, we were charged $129, for which we could have stayed in a nice hotel and been served a better breakfast. I should mention that our accommodations were spotlessly clean.
While we were at Burleys Gardens we took the opportunity to read their guest book and were surprised at the outpouring of positive comments about people having enjoyed their stays and promising to return. I wish that we could have added to these positive comments.
If I have one suggestion for our hosts it would be to advertise as "self-catering" rather than B&B accommodations.
