We are finalising our honeymoon, with a stay at the Fusion Maia included. However, we have seen posts about the construction work next door.
How much of an impact does this have, and are the towering cranes obtrusive at all?
Not a problem at all.
Its a wonderful location for your honeymoon.
Hotel, Food, Pool and the Beach and Everything about the place is outstanding.
Good Luck on the day and for the adventures ahead.
Congratulations - I'm sure you'll find this the most perfect honeymoon destination! Agree with all the comments already made - its there but doesn't really detract from your holiday at all. I also agree with the suggestions made by other travellers to ask for a room on the opposite of the resort - EXCEPT, we did this and were given a room right on the opposite side, well away from the building works but because it was right on the edge of the resort it was overlooked from a neighbouring property. My suggestion is to ask for the opposite to the building work AND to ensure it is not overlooked at all.
Have a great trip!
I stayed in June 2018 for 7 nights and it really didn’t have an impact at all. There was no loud music and noise wasn’t a problem. I wouldn’t let this worry you.
When we arrived at the Fusion Maia In September 2018, we were surprised to see the large construction going on next door (on the Da Nang side of the resort).
However, we didn't find this to be particularly disruptive, they appear to make an effort to keep the noise down, as much as is possible, unlike building sites in the UK, I didn't notice lots of loud shouting , music or anything really.
I must add though that we were fortunate enough not to have our villa on that side of the resort, as there are some villas right on that boundary.
I would suggest requesting your villa as far away from the construction as possible for peace of mind?
But, I must repeat, it didn't impact on our wonderful stay at the Fusion Maia, I barely noticed it, as you do tend to be looking out at the gorgeous view across the huge beach to the sea, rather than to the side to view the cranes etc.
I hope this might help, it all depends on how uncomfortable it makes you feel really?
We were not troubled be the nearby construction work on any of our visits, nor were we aware of any noise or other intrusion.
Hi, first of all congratulations! I was at Fusion Maia in October. Yes, the cranes are visible if you look in that direction and sometimes you can hear construction sounds. But it did not bother me personally. At the pool and beach area you hardly notice the construction site and the sounds are not that intense. The whole experience at Fusion Maia makes up for it, it is a beautifull and special place and perfect for a honeymoon. Ask a room at The right side (with your front facing the sea) of the premises, which is at the reception side of Fusion Maia as well .....and close to the pool area and Fresh restaurant. I stayed at that area in room 2903 and did not hear anything from the construction site.
We stayed on the side of the building where the reception was and were not that much effected by the cranes. In the day you could hear them if you were in the pool and on the beach. However the resort is (in my opinion) a very special place and it was easy to 'zone out' from this. May be it would be harder if you were on the side of the resort right next to the cranes and had to put up with them all the time.
From this resort they provide a free bus to Hoi An - highly recommended and Expedia run trips to MY SON and Marble Mountain if you have a few days to explore. We loved Fusion Maya and our experience even with the building works will always be memorable. Happy Honeymoon and many blessings for the future
The resort is great but make sure you get a room on the opposite side from the construction - rooms 11/12 and probably more 13/14 etc ... you will see the cranes over the trees/hedges when you are at the main pool - but you are on honeymoon and have your own private pool with the room!! Make sure you get the rooms suggested and it should be wonderful!!
