Dear Michael/everyone, we are looking for a good place to snorkel around this time. First time in Phuket and we see there are a lot of waves now... any tips. Are Similian islands recommendable for snorkeling now?

Great to welcome you in our little bit windy paradise. During the west wind season (or low season) we have a lot of waves and low visibility on the west side of Phuket. Therefore we cannot go out to our lovely snorkeling spots near Nai Yang. The similan islands share the same fate and are closed until November. But....we do of course go out to the protected bays of Racha Noi (Tuesday) and Racha Yai (Wednesday), where you can snorkel in protected bays over lots of coral and fish. Best to come into our shop tomorrow and we can tell you more about your options ! See you soon, Michael
