Travelled 45mins to attend their Xmas Fayre which we saw advertised on Facebook, queued for 20+ mins to park to then find out at the entrance that they only accept cash for entry, what an absolute joke! No signs on advert or even leading up to the event that it was cash only, how difficult would that be!!?? Most probably that was the reason why there were so many cars leaving after just 90mins of it opening, they probably had the same experience as us. Parking was an absolute car crash too with only one guy trying to direct traffic and even he couldn't be bothered to wear a high vis, he just held it instead. 🙄

Booked a table in restaurant for a 90th Birthday celebration for my Dad to watch the greyhound racing, they upgraded us to the private box area which was superb- great service, lovely Sunday roast and desserts, we were very well looked after by everyone especially John who made sure all had a great time, very much appreciated- all the best for the future and hope the greyhound derby goes well.

Booked a box with Sunday lunch for my husband’s birthday. Took a bit of planning to get 15 or so of us together but we go there. Or rather, we wished we hadn’t.
An hour before arriving, got a call from woman who told us that due to gas problems, we’d wouldn’t be able to have Sunday roast. But we could have burger and chips, pie and chips or chips and chips! Great start but these things happen. Or so we thought.
On arrival, not one of the boxes were booked other than ours and it became apparent that there were no gas issues. They clearly just didn’t want to cook for just our party. The chips and chips option was had, took over 2 hours to arrive, and were presented with two tiny pots of peas and beans. Upon asking for more, we got them. Cold but we got them and my kids were about to eat a scabby dog by this point and in fear of one of them out racing the hare to catch said scabby dog, we took the chips, chips and cold beans offering.
We were offered a return visit. No thank you, we’ll just have a refund. Which was forthcoming, but only given half of our pre paid money back.
Now I’m no mathematician, and as my husband will vouch for, no chef either. But I do know that if you pay over 30 quid each for a roast and get only chips, that doesn’t equate to a 50% refund. I had to call and explain and eventually more refund came back. But not until I’d been spoken down to by same woman at the start of this sorry tale, who by the way showed the worst level of care for her staff who served us I’ve ever seen. Over spoken and berated, I can only imagine how they must have felt! Oh hang on, I don’t need to imagine, she tried to do the same with me!
Out came my inner Karen to eventually get a half reasonable refund. I was embarrassed that this car crash of an experience was had by my family.
Moral of the story. Close down! Do not enter this doggy disaster zone!

My daughter took all 6 of to
celebrate her dads 70th birthday
She paid £31 each (£186) for a sit down roast dinner and a pudding
2 roast beef dinners brought out first and to follow would be 4 turkey ones we waited and waited until we had to ask by this time the 2 beef one were finished
Could tell by what they brought us that they had forgot One roast potatoe a small Yorkshire pudding 2 pieces of turkey and small portion of veg what a let down not worth the money afters okay but still had to ask for it
My family were still hungry so we had to buy some burgers and chips at an extra cost
Just like most of the other people were doing.
A very disappointing day out

Had a brilliant time today at the dogs. Race card, free drink, free £2 bet and a free meal for £9.95. Bargain! Staff were very friendly. Good time, good service and a great value.

Food good but the TV screens not clear to watch races and no sound until over half way through the race card, can not recommend for that reason would be great if it worked, very disappointing!!

Fabulous Sunday afternoon watching the greyhounds.
The Sunday lunch was excellent & the service from John & his whole team was really on point.

Went with my family for a Sunday roast in one of the hospitality boxes with a balcony to watch the dog racing and we had a great time. Food was very good and everything delivered to your table, even able to bet without leaving your seat - definitely would go again.

The most sensational yet calm inviting environment for family’s couples and solo stag party’s the food was amazing with unique, aromatic flavours I almost felt I was in turkey 10 out of 10 stars Ali’s a legend! Very inviting. Love the place! We’ll be back
