I've been going to the Historic Fraser Tubing Hill since high school. It is a fun winter activity. The staff at the tubing hill are kind and helpful. While I have been going to this hill for many years, this year we looked into other tubing hills but ended up returning to this hill. We looked into the tubing at Keystone, Frisco Adventure Park, or Colorado Adventure Park and Fraser has the most affordable prices. I don't think there is a tubing hill that can beat the thrill of Fraser Tubing Hill. If you are looking to go tubing with a large group of people this is the place to go. They offer modest concessions, and gear, and there are bathrooms as well. Other tubing hills have more amenities or things to do other than tubing, but if the tubing is what you are looking for there is no better place.

Very enjoyable. The hill was great. It was much faster and steeper than Coca Cola hill @WP. The staff was great. Getting there can be a bit of a chore without a vehicle

A few friends and I visited the Fraser Tubing Hill on a day off from skiing at Winter Park. We were able to take the bus from the resort hub and it dropped us off behind the Safeway. From there we called the Tubing Hill and fortunately they had someone available to fetch us the rest of the way in a mini-van. That was fortunate because it was a very cold & windy day! After our session the van took us back down to the bus stop. As it was probably a half-mile each way (and uphill as you go do the hill) we were quite glad for the ride.
If climbing stairs is not your thing (and consider the elevation!) this is not the place for you. You'll need to climb stairs into the office to pay and/or get refreshments. The cost was $30 per adult and there's a $3 surcharge if you use a credit card. However, it was half-price for folks 60+.
The tubing area is nice and wide. There are no pre-defined lanes so we had a lot of fun with 5 of us holding our tubes together and spiraling down the hill. Since we'd had a bit of fresh snow overnight, and even while we were there, we always ended up with a face-full of flakes by the end of the run, which made it even more fun.
There were two tows for the tubes, one on either side of the hill but only one was running when we were there mid-week. For the tow on the left side of the hill (as you look up at it) once you reach the top of the hill there are still about a dozen steps to climb to reach the top of the tubing hill. Then, if you want to be more in the center of the tubing hill, it's another uphill walk to reach that. It doesn't look like much but if you're not used to the elevation (like me!) it can have you breathing quite hard. On the other hand, I definitely got my cardio workout in! Our group of adults (ages early 40s to early 60s) just stayed for one hour and we were thoroughly worn out after that.
The staff was quite nice and very helpful. I'd be happy to go back next time I'm in the Winter Park area.

I had an amazing time out on the tubing slopes today. Goose was a very polite gentleman. Goose made the day amazing by getting a good video of me and my girlfriend coming down the hill. Also very respectful and cool guy.. Monica was a polite cashier that help me set up the whole thing for my girlfriends day.

Our family of four had a blast here. The hill is fast and fun and not too scary. The pulley system to get back up to the top was also fun. I appreciate how this place is pretty relaxed and doesn’t need an advanced reservation or anything to get in. Our whole family enjoyed this and we’d love to do it again when we return.

We stayed until is closed and we were half frozen. It was so awesome tubing down the hill at night under the lights. The kids slept very well that night - and so did we.

We absolutely love this place as it has an d school vibe that is so endearing. This was our second time here as we always go after a day of skiing. The lines are not all that long then. There is a lift/pulley system that pulls you up to the top which is much nicer than standing on a magic carpet conveyor belt. Our family absolutely loves it here and we will be back if we are in the area again.

I highly recommend going at night. We drove by to check out during day and it was packed with people tubing and waiting, we went after skiing one day around 5:30. We never waited on anything! Staff were very helpful and safety aware. I would recommend to anyone in the area!

I was a little skeptical of this hill because it appeared from the main street to be haphazard. I was unable to get tickets at the Coca-cola tubing on Winter Park resort so went to Fraser instead. It was truly a great time. We arrived at about 7:30, so there weren’t many people there and that, of course, made it even better. It was snowing hard so take goggles if you have them. Helmets are available. There are several different levels of “difficulty” all of which were great fun. The moving sidewalk type conveyor back up the hill made access so, so easy. Holding on to each other’s tubes made it like a team activity. Go! Have fun!

Morning! Would this be a safe recommendation for a 2 year old?? He would be riding on our lap of course.... just making sure we won’t flip over or go insanely fast or anything lol

They say kids need to be 3 to tube on their website. Ours just turned 3 and he did really well with it. I held on tight down the hill, but never thought he was going to fall/fly off. He’s pretty adventurous but even he got scared. The snow had a tendency to fly up into our faces on the way down and he really didn’t like that. Once we figured out it was best if he buried his face into my jacket on the way down, he had fun. My older guy is almost 5 and he seemed like the perfect age for it! Helmets are recommended but not provided or rented there. We brought bike helmets with us but I saw kids with ski helmets too.

When does Fraser Tubing Hill typically open in the winter? I've looked up predicted snowfall and see it is usually snowing by Thanksgiving. I'm planning to bring my kids to Colorado for Thanksgiving week this year and really am hoping Fraser Tubing Hill will be open! Is is based on the amount of snowfall? If so, what were the dates it opened over the past 3 years? Thanks!

Usually open as soon as the ski area (Winter Park Resort) opens in mid November.

They closed a week or two ago. Come back and play next winter, by far the best tubing hill we have. The other two are closed too, but Mary Jane is still open if you ski/snowboard.
