The 8 of us had a wonderful time at Oso Libre. It's a beautiful farm and was very different than all of our other, more modern winery stops. We loved all of the reds and wish we had booked the elevated experience in advance, but loved what we had for the regular tasting. They have a great price point and we loved the reds as much as all the other places we stopped! I would highly recommend this as a stop to give some contrast to the other wineries in the area. This was one of our favorite stops!

I always enjoy visiting Oso Libre Winery, the wine is delicious, the pourers knowledgeable and friendly, and the setting is gorgeous. The tasting room and patio overlook the pastures where their angus beef cattle and sheep roam, the vineyards, and their wind turbine that powers their winery and tasting areas. All in all, Oso Libre is a don't miss location for wine tasting.

We went with some friends who are wine club members at Oso Libre. Had a lovely tasting flight on a gorgeous sunny afternoon. Suri took care of us. She was knowledgeable and informative about the history of the winery and the wines. They appear to be known for their bold reds. Produce about 5,000 cases a year. Grow Cabernet Sauvignon and Mourvedre there, and source their other grapes. Blends are very nice. Most price points on the higher end. Very nice wines.

This is a fun Winery to visit not only for the great wine but the various animals they keep on property. They raise their own beef and sell meat also. We bought some and had a great dinner with it while we were in Paso Robles. They offer a great variety of fine wines. The tasting was fun as the part owner and wine maker visited with us and told us about the wine. Fun place to go in PASO Robles.

My husband and I reserved a tasting for Friday noon & enjoyed ourselves greatly. The wines were great (we ended up purchasing two bottles.) We also got a charcuterie board to share with our tasting and for $20, it was a very good amount & selection. I loved the relaxing atmosphere & enjoyed seeing the alpacas at the entrance. We will definitely return in the future to purchase more wines.

We first heard about this winery a couple years ago and finally made it. Definitely off the main path but was a pleasant drive up. Ashley was very helpful and knowledgeable on the wines we tasted. Literally every wine was just straight up delicious. Then Mike the wine maker came out and chatted it up with us for awhile. I always love getting to talk to the actual wine maker and pick their brains because I find what they do fascinating, while my wife rolls her eyes begging me to let this poor man get on with his day, but Mike was super cool and talked about his wines and how he got his start. Bought two bottles and can’t wait to come back. Also we had our dog and they brought her own on oso libre water bowl haha. Driving in we saw some alpacas which was cool also.

Not like the pizzazz of Justin’s or the Niner or Daou but a nice drive and cool natural vibe. The wine is pricey but good.

We had a large group of friends come together for a Paso Robles Wine Country experience.. Our last stop was Oso Libre....the wine maker Michael Barreto and His wife Joey poured....the owner gave us the history of Oso Libre, the beauty of our surrounding was so peaceful, with sheep grazing, the green hills and trees surrounding us. Each tasting was consistent for what we were tasting, and it was good....all in our group was appreciative of what we were experiencing and our time there...we all will be back...

Small but beautiful with great wines in a family run wineyard and farm. Great views, good food and good wines.

We had Matt Graves pour for us and he was extremely friendly. It was clear that he knew a good amount about the wines. The wine was top notch so if you’re looking for great paso wine I would start here.
For the wine fanatics.
This wine is extended barrel aged with a good amount of wood influence. Great, big bold flavors with relatively low tannins (from the aging). Cheers!
