Very very impressed with the quality of the products and once I found out how eco friendly the products and owner is, I fell in love even more. There is a local jewlery maker also displays her wears in store and I could have bought the whole cabinet haha, my new ring is now glued on my finger.

I discovered “FlipFlop and Treacle” after an amazing bikini fashion show on the beach that they organized on Koh Tao island in Thailand a while ago. Since then I own 3 of their lovely bikinis and some matching summery accessories. I simply like their design and it fits really well (Specially keeping in mind that it’s always hard for me to find well-fitted XS/XXS size clothes).
And it’s not only that!! They also show care for the environment, practice a good customer service and positive perspective on life around us. Really ambitious - always coming up with new ideas, designs and events.
I am sure that anyone who loves “sun, sand and salt” lifestyle will find something nice in the FlipFlop and Treacle shop for themselves or a friend.

I bought a few bikinis from here and absolutely adore them all! Such great prices and last really well. Even though it’s a surfer/boho style it still fits people of the more curvy side which is great! The owner Jess and shop girls are also a delight and so friendly and helpful too... highly recommend checking these guys out!

This little shop is so lovely, you can end up spending hours trying all the cute bikinis (they have lots of size options) and its truly inspiring reading about all the concepts behind the eco friendly materials used in the designs. Theres something for everyone here ! Must visit !

Qlq invendus de Zara et qlq articles identiques à d'autres boutiques.
Prix équivalent à nos soldes, voire + cher
Attention : googlemap vous envoie au port de Mae alors que la boutique est dans à rue qui longe la plage
Le n de tel ne doit pas être le bon et le pauvre Thai qui a récupéré le numéro à l'air d'en avoir marre de flipflop!

We were so sad to hear that you did not enjoy shopping with us at Flipflop and Treacle, and will address the issue you had with our shop girl immediately. In regards to this, it is a legality in Thailand to have Thai nationals working and taking money even in foreign owned businesses, which sometimes means that spoken English isn't great. We do try to employ lovely ladies, with genuine good hearts to represent our brand. The shop girl who works the late afternoon and evenings PiBie who you are referring to is trying to learn better english but admittedly has quite limited English at the moment, so it is even harder for her to communicate with others where English is their second language or they may have an accent, so apologies for that, but we hope you understand.
Fliplfop and Treacle is an independent swimwear label, designed by myself. I have been lucky enough to gain the support of fellow shop owners on the island who like to sell my brand and believe in it's quality and style (hence why you would have seen my brand in other shops also). As well as our full range of bikinis, one-pieces, rash vests and boardies we also design our own, hats, singlets, T-shirt and beach dresses also, along with beach accessories such as sarongs and scarves.
We do also stock a range of classic bodies, camis, maxis, cardigans and jumpsuits from a select 3 bangkok based designers who we love, there are some other clothes shops on the island who support and stock these designers too.
We have recently started an FFT vintage range in our brick and mortar stores, an opportunity to save the environment a little and upcycle clothing, our ethos is "in a world of fast fashion make a difference upcycle", this means we take pre-loved clothes and adjust them, add details and trims to make new pieces to be worn and loved, this has been hugely popular with residents on Koh Tao who really care about the environment and want to make changes.......this is why you might see well known (above mentioned brands) in our store, they are there in this context, and are priced very reasonably.
Our flagship store is actually based in Mae Haad (as marked on tripadvisor on the down road at the pier), we recently opened a second branch which is indeed in Sairee (directly opposite choppers bar and grill), which has yet to be marked on Tripadvisor, apologies for that and sorry you didn't manage to find our shop in Mae Haad from the pin!
I sincerely hope I have provided answers and explanations to everything that you mentioned above, again very sad that you didn't have a great experience shopping with us, 8 years down the line now and a lot of love and passion has gone into this brand.

If you love bohemian chic trendy clothes then this is the shop for you!!! You can find anything you need from sun dresses to cute bikini's designed personally by the owner Jess. The prices are affordable and the quality is GREAT! Definitely pop in this shop if you're in the area :)
