This is a difficult review to write. The museum consists of a field of sculptures, mainly made of fairly crude found materials, mostly welded metal, often having something circular about them, and often, but not always, looking like something in the natural world. Some people will find these pieces fascinating, others may not be moved. So a compromise suggestion is that if you are in the area it would be worthwhile to take a route past this place, because it may speak to you strongly.

Interesting sculptures, most made out of scrap metal and recycled materials, such as old bathtubs, machinery and aluminum and metal structures. You can't miss this when driving on the main road. Some uphill walking required, so wear comfortable shoes and some of the sculptures are in a small wooded area. We met the sculptor who also paints.

21 years ago in the late 1990s, barreling down the beautiful back state and county highways between the Western New York Finger Lakes and the Eastern Hudson Valley, I by chance came upon the U-Turn inducing sculpture park and home garden of Bijan. I stopped and had one of my life's really most remembered visits anywhere. We talked of his landing on this beautiful country space, and his experience in Columbia County and the Berkshires, all the while agape and agog at the fantastical iron and tin can conglomerations of this sculpture artist.
Then while on another subconscious Dream Drive just this past beginning of September, there it appeared again, breaking through my Route 22 Roadglide reverie. Great joy of a thing to come upon another Uturn-inducing visit to the now most aptly named Circle Museum. The space is fuller now with Bijan's imagination
creations, and he's as open as open can be. I wish I had a flatbead truck and some ducats, because I'd start my own collection of his work. Don't miss it if you see it as you're cruising and passing, and do see it intentionally if you like planning. It ain't just another roadside attraction. It's a special spot in this crazy world!

Not exactly a "museum," but kind of a sculpture garden of interesting and fanciful welded pieces, most or all of which appear to be for sale. Worth a short visit on your way to somewhere else like the Hancock Shaker Village.

If these pieces could easily be moved, they'd draw rave reviews as an art gallery display. They're EVERYWHERE, and each one piques the imagination. I found myself looking at pieces from various angles, and making a different interpretation with each new view. My imagination was on fire. It's fun to recognize the origin of some of the metal pieces, and see how the artist has given them a new purpose. We'll return!

We stopped here last August (2017) and I brought home a postcard, meaning to write a review. We found this spot through Trip Advisor and were glad that we visited. Fun sculptures made of metals and found materials. Bijan is very interesting and we enjoyed talking with him. It makes me smile to see people following their passion and being creative. In the late afternoon, there were many little gnats around, but we also saw deer as we climbed up the hill in the back!

Enjoy wandering the fields and discovering all sorts of objects that will be certain to test your imagination. He can do anything with anything but really love his sculpting with metals. Also check out his paintings and spend a few minutes visiting. No charge but you will feel compelled to donate.

Whimsical interesting pieces welded together to form garden or yard sculpture. This art form has become more prolific lately but it seems Bijan has been doing this for decades. He's very engaging and interesting to converse with but he doesn't try to sell you anything.
In fact, other than a donation jar near the entrance, I have no idea how he supports himself.
