Best massage ever.

The best massage ever. Thank you Shirley. I have had many massages. I actually go monthly at home. Shirley hit all the right spots and really loosened up the knots on my shoulders and upper back. My calves and feet feel so good. The constant discomfort I have from activities went away. The ambience of the spa was very nice. The staff were all friendly and the room. I wish I had gone there sooner. I visited the Makkah spa at the Burrirattana hotel and it was not as good. I almost didn’t try another Makkah massage. My daughter and son-in-law had massages at the Colonial Gardens location and raved about it. The massage , ambience and room were way better! The Buririattana didn’t even have the donut-like pillows form my face.

Great massage. We've come back two days in a row. Bit more pricey than the high street but worth the service.

Great spa experience!

Excellent quality spa. From arrival and throughout the spa staff were nice and polite and professional. The treatments were high quality and I hope to return. This spa, like T Massage (more of a day spa), were amazing and top quality. Unlike the corrupt scam which is The Common Spa which was complete trash (overpriced, dirty, sad, corrupt, and the very worst massage therapists I’ve every experienced). Thank you Makkha Spa for a wonderful,.relaxing, therapeutic, and beautiful experience!

Worst massage experience

Today I just got the worst massage in my life at Makkha Spa.I cannot sleep now because my arms are so sore from the massage I had today. The lady who gave me massage had some kind of “anger” and she chose to take it out on me. She kept ignoring my requests of “ softer” and kept giving me “very strong” massage. By the end of the massage, she asked to sit up. Seeing me having trouble sitting up after lying down for 1.5 hours, she didn’t bother to help me up. I have no idea why she was so mean to me. I feel abused. I’ve had so many massages before, unfortunatrly, this one at Makkha Spa is the worst one because of their mean and unprofessional massage lady.

Very high quality massage!

Probably one of the best massage places in chiang mai. Quite expensive, but worth the money. Private rooms, very professional massage. Highly recommended.

Therapist skill is no good, below expectations.

The 1st impression to welcome us to colonial garden is good, free pick up from hotel to Colonial gardens. However the skill of therapist is poor for the price charged.
What is most disappointing is when we provided our honest feedback, there is no word of apology from the management except to say they will retrain the therapist?

Visited for massages after 3 whirlwind days of travel. It’s a beautiful space, and our massages were excellent. Will definitely return on my next visit to Chiang Mai.

Room for improvement

The environment was comfortable and quiet and staffs were friendly and helpful. I booked four hours of treatment. I filled the questionnaire that emphasized which area to be strengthened before the treatment but actually only few times are used for such area. The skills of the technician is on average. Mango sticky rice was delicious.

Inexperienced masseuse for the same price as an experienced.

My girlfriend and I bought the 3 hour massage including foot massage, Thai massage, and a hot oil balm massage. We weren’t told but I got a trainee with little to non skill which I learned when she got instructions from my girlfriends masseuse and tried to copy her throughout the session. After 20 minutes all I could think about was getting out of there. I’m not hard to satisfy with massages, but we paid 2450 baht each and I fell asleep when I wasn’t frustrated because she pressured me like a leaf! It was also to cold, I had goosebumps from freezing throughout most of the session. My girlfriend had a moderately fine experience, but what I can’t fathom is how we can pay the same price for a trainee who hasn’t learned to massage and a trained masseuse. When I asked the staff how this could be they acknowledged that she was new and that they were sorry and understanding of my frustration. No compensation of any sort was offered.
My girlfriend and I have tried several other massages both in the same price range and lower. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with massages and although my girlfriend was with the experienced masseuse this was her worst experience in Chiang Mai.
