They have some lovely things and a lot of them look old, but didn't see any certificates of authentic origin as they said many pieces came from old families.

I did get caught up in the hype and purchased a ring that I initially LOVED. They said it was jade, with gold setting and sterling sliver wire wrapped around the base. The gold started 'tearing' and the silver wire kept catching and pulling away.

I'll need to take it to my jeweler to authenticate the stone, the gold and the silver along with making repairs. I only wore the ring for five days before I put it away so I wouldn't do more damage.

Finally, the HATE is that I'm sure that I paid three to four times what I should have and with all of that there wasn't any way to return the item as the country shut down due to COVID-19 and we were forced to leave the country.

Depending on what my jeweler says, this rating might go down to two (poor).

Also, I expect to deal with pushy sales people, but they take it to a whole new level. Be prepared to simply turn and walk out of the shop.

Lovely pieces inspired by berber culture.
Sales person slightly too pushy.
Would love to go back and take time to choose something nice...

These are very nice people and they have a lot of unique merchandise. That said, we purchased a table from this gallery. First of all, the table was represented to us as one thing, but upon authentication when I got home, it was something else. We were told this table was 200 years old, but later found out that this is not the case. The table arrived damaged in shipment and the seller expressed his disappointment, but offered me no financial remedy. I even helped him get a reimbursement from FedEx, but the reimbursement was not offered to me (and I have no idea what FedEx offered). All in all, I would not recommend doing business with this establishement.

Very fine wares, however, they spot an American tourist and will suck you dry if you let them. Then when you try to return something, They put such unreasonable conditions you ultimately cannot trust them past your nose.

A wonderful shop more like a museum full of antiques of all kinds: furniture, jewelry, nick nacks. It’s owner Azdin was very knowledgeable and helpful.

A beautiful sore with lots of treasures. But the prices are beyond outrageous. Even if the owner is To believed that things he has are museum qua, tiny and hundreds of years old, they are still very high. And unless you are An expert it will be impossible to verify anything that is said. But the sky high prices led me to believe that nothing was as it appeared. We saw several things we liked but didn’t buy because we felt like it was going to be a ripoff

Awesome displays for the monied class. This place is very expensive and applies 5% service charge for credit card purchases.
The works are visually impressive; however there is nothing to authenticate the sales hype. Thus it is basically an emotional exercise-- you have to really like the piece to be prepared to make the financial sacrifice.
This is not the place for souvenirs or bargain hunters. Seemingly out of place in a medina.

This art gallery is beautiful. It is a family owned business, and they own another shop (selling teapots etc from silver and bronze) up the street. It is all very nice to look at, but whilst my friends did some serious shopping from here, I refrained from buying anything. This showed me 1) the different in treatment I got and 2) the prices my friends paid were exaggeratedly high. Even after haggling. So my advice is to go in and look around, but from my perspective they make sure they sell you things for prices that are even in Western Europe/North America considered expensive.
The other shop owned by them - unfortunately I forgot the name- refused price discussions and we bought handmade silver tea pots and plates. I could see a quality difference to those you can get in Marrakesh in the Souks. BUT whilst they claim they are UNESCO supported and you only pay for the material and not the work (hence no haggling), after returning home I found the very exact teapot I bought for not even half the price on Amazon. Lesson learned!

" We recently visited Morocco and the ancient city of Fes where our guide took us to the talisman art gallery in the Fes medina. The medina itself is fascinating and the Talisman gallery a revelation. It is a large, exotic museum housing a huge range of high end antiquities down to much smaller and cheaper items of jewelry, bronzes etc.
Importantly, management of this gallery operates with integrity. International shipping agent DHL, refused to transport to Australia an item of ancient weaponry I purchased (due to recent law changes in our country). Management apologised for this even though it was not their fault and refunded the purchase price when we were back in Australia. Visitors to Fes could do worse than visit this excellent gallery even if just to look. "
