It is relatively easy to find and access. However, depending on the weather and time of year, it might not be the best option. We were there in mid Oct, and it was dry at the time. We were able to access the area in our rental car. Some of the roads were quite steep, ruts, and large rocks exposed. We took it slow and careful. I'd be hesitant to be up there on an inclement weather day without a more suitable vehicle. The hiking trails are easy to moderate. No special gear required. Bring water and snacks.
