We stayed at site 16 in the Walking Stick Campground at Turkey Point Provincial Park. The sites are very nice, quite large with average privacy. The hiking trails are terrific and well worth it. The complaint we had, and the reason we won't go back, is the bathrooms. Perhaps we are spoiled from our normal camping destination, Pinery. At Turkey Point, the main comfort station is very outdated, the floors must be sloped poorly because it was always wet and muddy at the toilets. The showers are dingy with filthy shower curtains. From our site, we could see a vault toilet but couldn't get to it because there was no trail, we would have had to walk through someone's campsite. To get to it, we had to actually ride our bikes past the main comfort station. The vault toilets are just outhouse toilets and again dirty. (At the Pinery, the vaults are flush toilets). We saw them clean the vault toilets, they opened the door and hosed it out, leaving everything including the toilet paper wet.
I'm hoping the bathrooms will be upgraded in the future, if so, we will return. We were disappointed.

Good parking if you get there early <10am. Got a spot in some shade under a tree. Plenty of room. Sand was a bit rough- sticks etc in it. Water was relatively clean although a few plastic bags and garbage floated past while we were there.

We had a great site (#42), all day sun and spacious, meaning somewhat private except it was in the very west side of Walking Stick Woods campground and traffic noise from Turkey Point road was quite loud at times.
The Staff in the Office/ Shop were really great, couldn't do enough to help and very knowledgeable about the Park.

Spots for 3 tents and two cars. Our lot had two picnic tables, a firepit (with 1/3 grate) and good cover from trees. Sites weren't too private but as always, friendly campers nearby so no need to worry.
A man made short cut to the comfort stations made for a nice quick walk. Comfort stations were better than I had thought; showers, stalls, good water pressure.
Park for kids was a nice touch. Fire wood was $10 per a bag on-site.
Visiting Turkey Point downtown as a blast. Free Parking for campers. Arcade, Mini Golf, Ice Cream and lots of beach front to spreadout and enjoy.
We will be going again next season.

It was my very first time camping in one of Ontario’s more southern parks. The experience was very beautiful. We camped in October a late thanksgiving with my partners family. The park also hosted Trick or Treating on the weekends leading up to Halloween. Super festive, most campsites participated and gave out candy. Trick or treating in a brightly coloured fall forest is a game changer! The trees were vibrant orange and red. It was very beautiful.
Campgrounds:
Campsites at turkey point were quite large, probably some of the largest I’ve ever seen. My partner’s family were able to fit their trailer, truck, tent, hammock and table on the campsite and it still felt quite empty. The campsites offer fairly good privacy and are nicely spaced apart. I believe the forest is made up of old growth. The trees are big and fully grown. They almost loom over you like a canopy as you walk around the campground.
Lake:
The lake isn’t a walkable distance from the campgrounds. We had to drive a couple short minutes to get there. And the lake itself is not a very nature-scenic view. However, the lake beach looks like it could be really fun in the summer. Turkey Point is located by Lake Erie, a lake with reputation! Haha. The beach is sandy and sits in front of a few, small shops, and snack shacks.
Amenities:
Our first stop before even pitching our tent was the park store. Probably one of the smallest park stores I’ve ever seen… more like a park shack haha. But it didn’t bother me, I didn’t need any emergency supplies as I had thankfully packed everything, I just stopped in to purchase the park crest. But do with this information as you will! A store that sells camping gear if you need it is not close by! The drive up to the Park is farmland for quite a distance. I always appreciate park stores that sell essentials because you never know what’s gonna break or what essential item you’ll suddenly need. I don’t believe there were any canoe rentals at this park. I couldn’t imagine Lake Erie being a very canoe friendly lake. The washrooms are nice and well kept, nothing out of the ordinary for campground washrooms. The parks have little playgrounds scattered all throughout and I noticed plenty of families with small kids enjoying that.
Overall I think this park gives off really cozy vibes. I visited in the fall and I’m sure the experience would have been different if I visited in the summer. If I were to visit in the summer I think I would have wished the lake was closer. But the forest is really pretty, it’s definitely a park best suited for families and groups of people.

Excellent campsites, beautiful beach. I would rate it a 5 star however the park wardens walk around after dark and tell you to be quiet. We were 4 adults playing cards in a tent camper with kids sleeping and they told us to keep it down, a bit ridiculous. Never had something like this in 25 years of camping at provincial parks. The wardens walk around with their flashlights off, waiting to pounce on anyone making a slight noise. I saw them do this to another group of adults as well who we quietly chatting by their camp fire at 11:30 pm. Good for people who like a quiet, highly supervised campground. Not recommended for families or friends. Too bad because it’s a gorgeous spot.

First time there and I was impressed. Site180 was nice, relatively level, good fire pit placement. Campground was pretty quiet and rangers were active asking people to quiet down. Comfort stations were very clean, vault toilets not as much. Short hiking trails were nice and not crowded. Beach was short drive away. Water was clean and beach sand was very soft. Beach gets very busy on weekend. Get there before 10am if you want a good spot. Camp firewood was hit or miss for dryness. One bag great, two damp.

A beautiful beach linked to this provincial park. You do not need to drive to the provincial park to get access to this beach. Just directly go to the beach and park in the designated space of Ontario parks. There are washrooms, some beach side shops and plenty of parking. Well spent day with family and friends as beach is beautiful and pretty clean too.

Car camped at site 110 from June 25 to 28 for our first time at Turkey Point PP. Staff were friendly at check- in and we had no problem finding our site which was fairly private. Site was in the hardwood forest with plenty of shade. The site sloped down from the road which might be an issue in heavy rain, but we had sunny to overcast weather. There was plenty of space for our tent and dining shelter.
Unfortunately the site was not clean: beer bottle caps and tab pulls on the ground and several wipes/paper towels in the ground cover. The fire pit was rusted through in several places and the floor of the pit was about six inches below ground level making it necessary to get on my hands and knees to lay the fire.

what does it cost to golf at turkey point
Verfasst am 27. April 2018
It’s around 30 a game, much more reasonable then some of the other courses.
It’s not an exceptionally challenging course but great for the average golfer.

Sorry, I am not sure. I'm not a fishing person. You could call them and ask.
