An absolutely beautiful and inspiring place, with plenty to see and do. Thoughtful and wonderfully maintained public areas, perfect for families including the very old and the very young. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, with an expert knowledge of their patients. Interesting and informative talks and chances to meet the long-term residents! A trip with my 10 year old son exceeded all expectations and left both of us inspired and delighted.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Hedgehog/ tortoise chat informative. Ponds etc pleasantly set out. As middle of the day many of the residents were hiding.

My son went as part of a school trip and he had the most amazing time. He was really happy to see a variety of animals and learn about their stories and how the hospital has helped them. I have never seen him so engaged in learning.

A nice morning visit with my family, including my toddler. Upgrades on the site since I last visited include new wooden play equipment, toilet facilities and cafe (serving good coffee!) which have vastly improved the overall experience. The lady on reception (who has only just started working there) was friendly and welcoming. Hedgehog talks were fairly frequent throughout the day and staff appear passionate about their role. Aside from the animals, for a toddler this is a nice little activity that fills a few hours... my little boy loves the play area, including the ride-on toys. Would recommend, particularly for a young family.

St Tiggywinkles is a gorgeous place and for any animal lover its an absolute must. More than just a sanctuary for hedgehogs, there is an array of wildlife to see. Deer, horses, more than birds of prey than you ever expected to see. All with plenty of room to roam and fly with freedom.
The treatment centre is a wonderful place where the injure are treated and nursed back to health.
Spend a few hours there, it's a heartwarming place.

A truly wonderful experience. It is not too big. The care they have for the animals is obvious. The staff are exceptional. The hospital is amazing. A nice range of local wildlife. Well worth a visit. They do fantastic, vital work.

Made very welcome on arrival and various parts of site pointed out. Advised of certain feeding times and we would be advised if appropriate.
Thus got to see the Muntjac deer being fed.
In the hospital got to view some baby hedgehogs and squirrels being fed and were also able to see other hedgehogs, a badger and several tortoises, one is over a 100 years old.
All in all a very pleasant morning with very informative staff. Well worth the entrance fee.

at £19 for a family of four to explore animals, be treated to close-up with hedgehogs, devoted staff giving presentations and quizzes, we had four hours of fun, and the weather today didn't matter, there are enough covered places to watch deer, badgers, raptors, owls, tortoise, and other animals in their care, including a polecat today. Fabulous day :)

Shocked and upset the way the assistant handled an injured bird this morning. It was already traumatized and injured, and the girl I saw, just grabbed it out of the box with force, making it screech (there was no need to be so rough). She took no time to find out what was wrong, and could have caused the bird more damage. There was no animal care or customer care. She spoke so fast to me, that I couldn't understand what she was saying. It was all so rushed. I have been bringing injured wildlife to Tiggywinkles for many years. This is the worst experience I've had there. I hope the bird will be ok.

We had a lovely visit. The Staff are really caring and look after the animals in their care with love. It is clear, when interacting with the staff how much they love their job and the animals in their care.
The animals look well cared for and happy in their environment.
The visitor centre was very easy to navigate round and see all the animals in the hospitals care. Not just hedgehogs but all wildlife animals and birds.
Allow yourself a good three hours plus and enjoy seeing the animals on their way to a full recovery.
I would recommend Tiggywinkles to anyone, it is suitable for all ages.
Tiggywinkles is a charity and the worthy of your support.

Has anyone been in September? Planning on going for my daughter's birthday and was wondering what animals would be there. She is hedgehog mad at the moment but doubt there will be any babies there in September. Any info would be much appreciated as we haven't visited before.

Would suggest giving them a ring. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We rang before we went to ask about the badgers.

I would suggest that it would be about 2 hours, although if they are engaged, then maybe longer
There are feeding times so that might extend the visit
However, it is a small centre, rather than being zoo sized
