This place is a hidden treasure! Located in the middle of an industrial estate we were not sure what to expect. Details in advance were great, cracking communication and a good price.
My son had his 12th birthday party here. The seven children had a good time and were engaged throughout the room. Bring torches!
The food was delicious and games were fun! Thank you Eva and team for making his 12th party a success! Highly recommended *****

Our daughter had her 10th birthday party here with 5 of her friends. She thoroughly enjoyed the experience, as did all her friends. We were concerned the puzzles might be a little challenging for 10 year olds but Eva accompanied the children in the escape room, offering hints and tips when necessary, so they managed to escape within 51 minutes. Afterwards, the children had hot food while they played party games. Eva always responded quickly to our emails and organising the event was an easy and efficient process. We included the optional “special game” which was customised to the interests of our daughter and this added a nice, personal touch (in our case it was a Doctor Who puzzle). We would recommend this option at it helps make the whole experience feel more special. We did look at other local alternatives in the Milton Keynes area and, after reading poor reviews, we are very glad we chose this option. We would recommend EscapeForReal without any reservations.

Honestly, this is an amazing hidden gem of an escape room! It was recommended by a friend of ours who said it was one of the best he'd ever done, and he wasn't wrong.
From the moment we arrived the hostess was fantastic, completely in character and really set up the story incredibly. Unlike other venues with their pre-recorded messages, she really made us feel like we were getting in to the story. Even keeping character when offering assistance (we only need a couple of hints), and when we escaped!
The puzzles themselves are fiendishly challenging, but really work well with the story that was given. Happy to say it was the best Escape Room we've been too - wish they had more rooms!
Looking forward to hiring one of the two takeaway puzzles, which can be rented for the day and look brilliant fun!

We completed the Portal escape room, it was a great experience. We asked for a customisation for a member of our team who is retiring and the changes they made made it extra special. Lot's of interesting and unique puzzles. Highly recommended.

This is a very nicely set up escape room, with some good puzzles to solve. Three of us (two adults and one child) took most of the allotted hour to get through - it's not the hardest escape room we've ever done, although we did need a hint with one of the puzzles. There were a fair few puzzles to get through, some of which could be solved by one person and others were easier with two or three people working together.
Would definitely recommend.

Actually didn’t go - but did their pirate chest themed home escape “box”. Absolutely loved it ! So many bits to have to solve. Some easy(ish !) some really tough. Loved it !

We had a brilliant time here. This is the third escape room we have done as a family and this was without doubt the best so far. Eva was so helpful, I booked it very late notice and Eva was very responsive and answered all questions before arrival.
The escape room was great and we were given clues along the way if it could be seen that we were struggling.
Would highly recommend

Fabulous venue host and game room. Just the right level of assistance to set back on right path adding to our experience. Friendly and welcoming.

My daughter wanted to do an escape room for her 10th birthday, they enjoyed it and were helped along when it got tough.
The only reason i didn't give a 5 star was due the the food not being great and none of the kids really enjoyed it t.

Hi Stuart, thank you very much for your comments. We are happy the girls enjoyed the game. It just happened so that it took them a bit longer to complete all the puzzles and by the time they finished the game the food had gone cold. That's the last thing one wants when having hot dogs and chicken nuggets with French fries! :( It's very unfortunate really, because we have good suppliers and all customers have always enjoyed the food. We will make sure we coordinate the time better.

We booked the Portal for 8 kids (9-11yrs) for a birthday party.
The host Eva guided the kids through. All was tailored for their level and they managed to get through it in 50 mins.
Following the Portal, the kids had further quiz games ( as well as food) to unlock the birthday cake.
Both the Portal and the quiz games were excellent and well organised, kept the kids fully engaged and entertained.
Our 11 year old and his friends had a blast. Highly recommended!!
