Alladin, quite the worst pantomime I have ever seen. Boring, boring, the story never got going and to honest an awful production. No sparkle, no cheer, costumes drab etc etc

My mum and I were excited to go to Aladdin, we booked seats in the Gallery for £34 each.
It was horrendous, the seats were flip down with no padded back just the flat panel behind us, no leg room and our feet didn’t reach the floor properly, claustrophobic, packed in and uncomfortable and unacceptable for £34.
These should be £10 no more.
The panto was flat, talented people just no sparkle, hope it got better we managed half an hour before leaving.

This theatre is simply a spectacular piece of history - well done to the National Trust, to those who support it and the volunteers who man it. We love going to the theatre and particularly local productions if we can. We were passing through Bury St Edmunds in October and on one night we were there, the Bury St Edmunds Operatic and Dramatic Society was putting on "Allo, Allo, part 2" - they were great - some real talents and to a person, they appeared to be enjoying themselves, but the real experience was getting to sit in the theatre - it is apparently the last remaining regency theatre in the Uk and it is lovely. We sat in a box, which was again an experience as it has a kind of seating we have never encountered before - hard to explain - basically you have to unfold the centre seat of the last two rows in our case to get to the front two seats in the box, and then refold the centre seats to sit in them. Really hard to explain. We had some laughs with our fellow patrons as we figured out how to manage the seating. They were surprisingly comfortable. However, if you suffer from claustrophobia, don't choose to sit in the first two seats, or even the second row of a box - you may feel a bit confined by the seating arrangement in having to assemble and reassemble the seats in order to get out. We sat in the last row and the view was fine and I did not feel confined. The people manning the doors were very helpful and pleasant and when I could not find a place to sit in the theatre bar, one of them kindly supplied a chair until the doors opened.
Honestly one of the most interesting theatre experiences we have ever had.

Beautiful theatre, well worth attending. Prices are very reasonable, friendly staff. Went to see The Nutcracker which was just stunning.

I have regularly visited the Theatre Royal over the years and have always enjoyed the environment in addition to the performances.
I had never taken the opportunity to go along to a tour, until yesterday.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide was Stuart, who was both knowledgeable and entertaining. As an actor himself, he delivered his information very well.
The history and architectural information on of the Grade 1 listed theatre were both shared with us, along with some intriguing anecdotes. Being able to visit areas of the theatre you wouldn't usually get to see added to the tour.
Well worth £5, or £10 if you're not a National Trust member.

We visited the Theatre Royal to see “Murder, She Didn’t Write: The Improvised Murder-Mystery”
The theatre is a beautiful building tucked away close to the brewery
All the seating is in boxes for six people and to seat all six you have to assemble the middle seats in the right order.

Lovely little theatre - good views from all seats I feel - we were in Box Q - seats 2 and 3 that had an excellent view. Have visited before and on this occasion saw The Addams Family which we enjoyed. We parked at Ram Meadow car park which is about a 15 minute stroll away and good value for money.

We expected the "slightly restricted view" from our seats in the gallery to watch The Cats Pyjamas.
We did not expect the lack of a seat, getting instead a slightly cushioned flip up pad with a hard flat plywood board for a back.
Neither did we expect, or enjoy the stifling heat and airless ness that quickly built up in the first half. We had to rush down and out onto the street in the interval to gasp in some cool fresh air.
When we returned for the second half (and some didn't), the usher, when asked about it, apologised for the extreme heat, saying it was because the theatre had been shut up all day.
The next day I emailed the theatre to explain the conditions we watched the show under and how it really spoiled our enjoyment of it.
I also suggested that they added more than the "slightly restricted view" to the information about the "seat".
A week later They have not had the common decency to even acknowledge my email.
Suffice to say, we will not be returning.

I'd never been to this theatre and my husband had been once, many years ago. We sat in a box with four other people whom we didn't know, in a few square feet of space. The only way to exit the box was through a door which was blocked by the (moveable) seat of the last person in. I've never experienced anything like this before, and was so uncomfortable I couldn't stay beyond the interval.

What a gorgeous venue! From the welcome, to the choice of locally sourced drinks and the bar area….& then the auditorium is just amazing…. Like being in your own theatre or a dolls house… loved every second.

Thanks for your enquiry. We have several excellent views throughout the Theatre. The best seats are between Boxes K to F in the Upper Circle and Boxes M to F in the Dress Circle.
