A short walk to Saint Bartholomew for a relaxing beach on the most beautiful of the island.
We forget everything before finding the work and the cold of the metropolis.
Few people a walk along the sea where I met two lovely people a mother and her daughter who do not understand my nudity but tolerate it.
I just explained that on this beach people paid no attention to others and my colored Caribbean friend joined us for our walk by the water.

To see and enjoy the beautiful beaches of Martinique, you have to go to the south of the island, direction Ste Anne by road D9. Two possibilities then to access Salines beach: either by car 9 to 10 minutes from Ste Anne, or on foot via La Balance, Petite Anse, and finally the beach. So we can combine the pleasure of a 1h30 hike for around 4.5 km and the pleasure of the beach.
Back from 10 days of a stay with my wife. I took advantage of the advice and opinions of travelers, so it's my turn with all humility to return.
When we arrived in Sainte-Anne, we parked the car in the central car park. Equipped with our backpacks and hiking shoes, we began our walk through the mangrove to reach the large Salines beach. It's incredible, there's no one there. It’s true that it’s morning and it’s Christmas time. The feeling is very strange when, after an hour and a half of walking, we reached this immense beach, lined with mangrove trees and this turquoise water. It's a pure pleasure for the eyes.
We set up our “camp” at the water’s edge, under the vegetation. Swimming, picnic at lunchtime on the beach, short nap and reading. So the afternoon passed peacefully. We took advantage of taking a few photos, notably on the swing with our feet in the water. Too curious, there are lots of little crabs that come out of the sand but as soon as we chase them, immediately rush into their holes. In the middle of the afternoon, we left this beautiful landscape a little nostalgic and found the small town of Sainte-Anne to get back in the car. On the way back, we walked along the white sand beach of Sainte-Anne, Anse Caritan with its canoes and restaurants.
On the way back, we stopped to buy local pineapples and avocados. It's a bit expensive, we were seen arriving as good tourists but hey, as they say "we don't come every day".
A little advice: Christmas holidays are the ideal time to visit Martinique and quietly enjoy the beaches. Otherwise come early in the morning to make it easier to find a place to park. And you will have shade as a bonus.
It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Martinique but don't forget the beach of St Anne and the black sand of Anse Couleuvre.
It is ideal for families and children. On the other hand, a little sargassum, few waves, little depth and little interest for snorkeling enthusiasts to admire the seabed.

Magnificent authentic beach in a quiet, no-fuss area with translucent and warm water
Accessible by a small sand path which goes up a little for around ten minutes
Not accessible for people with reduced mobility or strollers
No shade at the edge of a palm tree possible

Do not be deterred by some of the reviews indicating a difficult walk. It is not the case. It’s an easy 5-10 minute walk from the parking lot to the beach. Once there, it is probably the most beautiful beach on the island. Perfect sand and water. Not a single building in site. We visited in October and the waves were medium sized, good for body surfing.
As indicated throughout the reviews, there are no facilities here. Nor is there really any shade. So come prepared

Une magnifique plage recouverte d'algues séchées et fraîches, laissées sur place. Odeur pestilencielle. Entrée à l'eau impossible. Aucun entretien de la plage.

Beautiful beach but our least favorite on the island. The waves are strong, no real shade from trees to hide from and nothing to see snorkelling.
We preferred St Jean and Columbier by far.
Parking is plentiful compared to other beaches.

Good evening, my wife and I are very interested in our first visit to the Caribbean, while we have been to Bermuda and Asia many times, this would be our first visit to the Islands. We are extremely interested in your help to set up a perfect match. We love nudism but also enjoy dressing formally on occasion. First, if you do not mind, some questions:
1. How close are you to the beach, it does not seem like you are directly on the water?
2. How difficult is it to travel to your location, do you know if there is any direct flights from Boston?
3. What is the shopping like in the area, can we walk there?
4. We would be traveling with arrival on 30/July, departure on the 5th/Aug, depending on things, we might consider making the departure on the 6th?
5. Could you tell us what units might be available for these dates, and what is the rate for each, considering two adults? Please specify in US$.
6. What is the cost to rent a car for a few days, we probably would not want one for the entire stay?
7. What would you require for a deposit and when would balance be due?
8. We know this is clothing optional, and have been AANR members for years, so understand the proper use of cameras, but my wife is into photography and loves pictures, using common sense, and care about taking pictures, is this a problem at your location?
9. What is the best process for doing reservations?
10. What is in the local area to see, with or without clothing?
Anything else you can forward us would be very much appreciated and assist us in our planning.
Sincerely,

Hello To bathe naked go only to the beach of Grande Salines near Lorient st barth my wife being West Indian and refusing to remove her swimsuit it is the perfect 80% textile beach but we could my wife in a swimsuit and me naked to walk along the beach without any problem with textiles because everyone is kind and respectful of others more than naturists who do not accept my wife in a swimsuit one day my wife told me today you were all alone naked in the middle of the others in swimsuits and nobody was shocked beautiful lesson of respect and cohabitation

Hello,
We have been to St. Martin four times LOL and love it and going back in July.
Question - what day trip to you take to St. Barths? Can you recommend anyone that sails over there?
Did they take you snorkeling anyplace?
Trying to decide if we want to stay on St. Barths for a few days or just do a day sail.
Any info would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

I would totally go and stay in St Barth's for a few days. It's magical. So relaxed.
We stayed at the Saint Christopher Hotel and loved it. You should rent a vehicle when you are there so you can get around the island. The Saline Beach was our favorite.
Let me know if there is anything else you would like to know.
Cheers,
Karen

I am a long time (April) visitor to St Barts. (20+ years) This April Saline Beach was virtually unusable and Governor's beach was also in rough shape because of immense amounts of seaweed. We have never previously encountered this problem. Does the island have any plan to remove the seaweed or is the plan to let nature take its course?
