My husband and I dreamt about visiting Cuba, it was on our bucket list, but we felt we would never be able to go for many reasons from the language barrier to trade barriers! Then we were introduced to Colby! Colby designed a luxurious tour that was beyond our dreams. My husband said Colby "took the fear out of the fringe"-meaning that our fears of traveling to a place that is not visited by many Americans disappeared as Colby put all our fears to rest and gave us one of the best experiences of our lives. Personally, having Colby plan, escort and tour with us alleviated a lot of stress, it was one of the first times that we traveled and my husband did not have to worry about the details. Colby's ability to ask us questions and put together a custom trip-complete with a 2 star Michelin meal was amazing and showed how his personal touch and care for making our experience the best is why Gardner Tours is 5 stars (I would give 10 stars). Below is where Colby guided us and introduced us to so many lovely people. They were all so genuine and interesting to meet-from Lorena who taught us how to make authentic Cuban cocktails (most delicious), Carlos who shared Pinar Rum & cigars with us, to Berta who attended Lehigh University-right in PA- we felt like we were with friends & family. Everyone was so engaging and enlightening, truly generous with their time and knowledge.
The people, the ambiance, the scenery, the nature, the guide, the entire experience was BEYOND! I highly recommend visiting with Gardner Tours and reigniting your passion for people and the resilience we humans have as well as the love we can all experience when we travel to open our hearts and minds to reconnect. We actually got to unplug, unwind and come back to center and sanity in Cuba.

The Atlas Mountains in Marocco is a real adventure, you have to put a lot of effort in but it is worth it. If you love the mountains you will like this trip. The people are friendly, the food is very good, and the nature is spectacular.

John, we want to thank you for trusting us with your High Atlas Mountain Trek in Morocco. And thank you for your correspondence and feedback via email that helped us more understand your four star review. We are happy to hear that you were more than pleased with our choices of BnBs, restaurants, etc and praised them. We are also understanding and happy to hear that the reason you gave only four stars were for reasons out of our control like, as you put it, "Africa is Africa and you can’t expect high comfort in (trekking) the (High Atlas) mountains. What is five star comfort in the outback?" Thank you again. We would be honored to serve you again in the future.

WOW! What a way to experience Cuba. We just completed a weeklong adventure with Colby of Gardner Tours. We did the “Premium Cuba Cigar Tour”. The trip was excellent from the beginning to the end. It is obvious that Gardner Tours knows Cuba and Cuba knows Gardner Tours.
Our host, Colby, has never met a stranger in Cuba. The connections he has made over the years, with the people and the places, made the trip awesome. We ran into other travel groups along the way and it was apparent that their guides (Host) were impressed with how Gardner Tours were able to open doors in Cuba that they have never been privy too.
The accommodations that we selected in Havana, and Viñales were top class.
In Havana we stayed at Villa Villegas. Our host were Laura and Jorge. They and their staff were wonderful. This location was right in the heart of Old Havana and provided easy walking access to the city.
While in Viñales we stayed at Villa El Coral. Our host were Danay and Mario. Again, they and their staff made our stay very enjoyable. Mario provided much of our transportation while in Viñales. This location provided easy walking access to town.
Our Gardner tour host procured some of Cuba’s finest dinning venues. Having never been to Cuba we had no idea what to expect. The restaurants and Clubs far exceeded our expectations. All rivaled many of the top trendy places of Atlanta, Georgia. We were never disappointed.
Havana restaurants: Lo de Monik, Antojos, Sabrita and Buena Vista Curry Club.
Viñales restaurants: Cubar, Resturant Buena Vista, Octuzar, El Olivo and saving the best for last, Cuba’s award winning dining experience at in Resturant El Cuajani. What a nice surprise.
The description of the “Premium Cuba Cigar Tour” that is described on the Gardner Tour Website was, right on. No disappointments.
Gardner Tours were able to accommodate our additional travel request.; A trip to the home of Ernest Hemingway and a night at the Tropicana- A must while in Havana.
For anyone that has ever anticipated visiting Cuba, but not sure where to begin. You cannot go wrong booking with Gardner Tours. We will not hesitate to return to Cuba with Gardner Tours.
We experienced Cuban culture, Cigars and Rum (RON) at its best. The people of Cuba are beautiful, resourceful, and resilient.

With Gardener Tours, and Colby as our tour guide, his years of associations and friendships with drivers, innkeepers, restaurant owners, tobacco farmers, and coffee plantation made us feel like we were going to visit old friends as we were warmly welcomed by all. This was valuable as we didn’t just feel like a tourist but like we were a guest meeting new friends and people we want to see again next trip.

The best part of being away on holiday and making incredible memeories is when you return home and are asked “what’s you favourite part of your trip?” I am so grateful to be able to say “Havana, Cuba with Yedi.”
Gardner Tours curated a perfect custom itinerary for our tour of Havana, Cuba and it was Yedi’s delivery of the actual day that made it most memorable. The itinerary was based on our interests and what we wanted to do while in Havana. Colby chose the perfect timeframe in which we would do everything along with expertly matched venues for the experiences. Everything was well organized and never once did I feel rushed during the day. It didn’t feel like we were on a tour to be completely honest, it felt like we met up with a good friend, Yedi, and he took us out and about for a day in Havana. I WANTED the day to be like that, but I didn’t EXPECT the day to actually feel like that, and it was just that. It exceeded all expectations.
My boyfriend and I ate, drank, smoked, listened, learned and shopped our way around Havana at our own pace and in the company of an excellent guide. We learned everything we had hoped to learn about the city and I truly feel like we experienced Havana is a completely honest and organic way, as if it all happened by chance.
It’s easy to get into a “trap” of a tour which offers you a black and white way of experiencing a city. Colby offered the grey: An original, custom tailored and specifically suited day that met our interests in a way that still felt well organised, expertly guided and very safe. We made a friend during our day in Havana and Yedi really did make our experience memorable. To that, I am forever grateful.
I cant deny that there was hesitation and doubt initially while booking our tour. Being in the UK and traveling to a country as foreign to us as Cuba is, it can honestly be a bit intimidating while planning and paying for such an experience. However, once you let go of the hesitations, you are in Colby’s good hands and I can say without a doubt in my mind; the communication with him, the service, the reassurance, the EXPERIENCE that Colby provided along with Yedi’s delivery of the day, made all the nervousness go away and I would whole heartedly hand over the reigns to Colby when planning and delivering an incredible, once in a lifetime, experience again.

I loved getting off the beaten path. Of course we saw and have seen the major attractions, which I will say Garner tours provides more information on the usual stops than you get on most tours. Mostly though, Gardner has a knack for getting you to places that are not on the "typical tour." For instance, instead of staying in Old Havana, which is nice... we stayed in Vedado which is luxury and quiet. We took transportation to our favorite haunts in old Havana. Going to Trinidad we went to Vega Grande waterfalls instead of the closer smaller ones. He is also one of the only tour operators I know of that has a place on the beach, literally on the sand in Veradero (one of the top 10 beaches in the world). If that was not enough we met the actual cigars farmers of the best cigars in the world that were repairing their facilities after Hurricane Ian came through. While supplies are limited, Colby was able to gain us favor and get us a few locally grown and stored cigars right from the plantation. While I know it is theoretically possible to do Cuba on your own- there is a lot of moving parts: What kind of gas to buy, where to find it, which currency to use in different places, which place to spend your time over others, which places are allowed by govt and not... etc and mostly in Spanish... So, yeah Gardner. tours handles ALL OF IT. Thank you for a great trip!

Just returned from an amazing trip to Morocco with Gardner Tours. Colby led and coordinated a wonderful vacation and our local guides, Ibrahim, Yhaya, Rashid, Bihi, and others really showed us what life is Morocco is like. The local guides Colby works with let us see a side of North African food, culture, and lore that most foreigners wouldn't experience. In Casablanca, Yhaya taught us what a cultural melting pot of Arabic, African, Spanish, French, and Roman influence that Morocco is. We toured the largest mosque outside of Saudi Arabia and had our first taste of the legendary Moroccan tea.
After a quick visit in Rabat and Mecknes, we toured the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Our guide El Khatabbi truly took us back in time to explore the remarkably preserved ancient city which is a UNESCO world heritage site. The city was the literal end of the earth for the Romans as their farthest reach into northwest Africa before the fall of their empire. The late evening tour was incredible.
Next we visited the unique city of Fes. Walking through Fes with our guide Hassan was like walking through the movie Aladdin. The medina with the people, goods, smells, sights, and sounds was an unforgettable experience. Generations of families sell goods in the local markets as they have for more than a thousand years. We purchased traditional Moroccan pottery and a wonderful leather duffle bag at the local tannery.
We left Fez and headed to Merzouga on the edge of the Saharan Desert. Driving through the Moroccan countryside you see life hasn't changed much for the Berber nomadic sheep herders who roam the hillsides with their flock. The desert was the "cherry on top" experience for me. My entire life if have dreamed of riding a camel through the Sahara desert. Our camel guide Bihi showed us a wonderful, once in a lifetime experience in the dunes of the Sahara.
Leaving the desert we stopped in Ait-Ben-Haidou and toured a "tollbooth" of sorts on the ancient camel trade routes between central Africa and Spain. The site is also a UNESCO world heritage site. Hiking up the hill with Ibrahim to watch the sunset was spectacular.
The Dades Gorge was the most picturesque view of the entire trip. The juxtaposition of the green valley and dry, rocky hillsides made for a most beautiful landscape. Our evening there was the most relaxing of the entire trip.
No trip to Morocco would be complete without touring Marrakesh. It is absolutely one of the most unique and beautiful cities in the world. Our local guide Rashid spent the afternoon with us sharing the history and culture of the city. Marrakesh showcases the best of Moroccan history culture living and working in highly modern, cosmopolitan city. We toured the markets, saw snake charmers and performers in the city square, and experienced a luxury Moroccan hammam.
The trip to Morocco was an experience we will never forget. Colby coordinated a wonderful experience and our local guides really let us experience the culture, history, and wonderful food of North Africa. Our local trip coordinator Ibrahim and driver Jamal made sure we were comfortable and safe the entire trip. I whole heartedly recommend you contact Gardner Tours to arrange your Moroccan vacation.

Favorite moments:
Live music in the street outside at Esto no es un Cafe. Good vibe and crazy good frozen mojitos.
The cigar tasting at the oldest cigar bar in Havana and talking with Agustin about cigars, Cuban history, and current affairs.
He is an exceptional conversationalist.
Also a perfect venue for a long, relaxed convo.
Late night (for us) drinks at Lo de Monik where a literal cocktail artist made daiquiris for us and laughing with us - and at our spanish :)

I always want to like the lamb. I never do. I loved theirs. Also, the owners are some of the most interesting, gracious people I’ve ever met.
Obviously , a lot of our favorite parts were sitting in bars/restaurants and having discussions or conversations about what we had just seen or who we had met.
The walking tour of Havana is great.
Especially for those interested in history and culture. It’s fascinating.
And being driven around Old Havana in a classic Chevy convertible is a nice touch.
It’s a history and culture trip. Would recommend.
Live music in the street outside at Esto no es un Cafe. Good vibe and crazy good frozen mojitos.
The cigar tasting at the oldest cigar bar in Havana and talking with Agustin about cigars, Cuban history, and current affairs.
He is an exceptional conversationalist.
Also a perfect venue for a long, relaxed convo.
Late night (for us) drinks at Lo de Monik where a literal cocktail artist made daiquiris for us and laughing with us - and at our spanish :)

Colby is the perfect guide, he knows exactly how to tailor an experience. Every day is an adventure with him and he feels like your best friend by the end of it. This is my second time in Cuba with Colby and I can almost guarantee it won’t be my last. He’s the personable guy you’ll ever meet and because of that every activity on the tour is that much more personal and exciting. We spent two days in Havana and another in Viñales, we swam and saw the sights and experienced the atmosphere like locals, it was a perfect experience. 10/10 cannot recommend enough!

We arranged our travel excursions through Gardner tours to travel between destinations in Cuba. Gardner Tours was the most reasonable the price compared to bigger operators and was the most personable. As soon as we made contact Colby made us feel welcome and accommodated our travel requests. He didn't make it difficult to chop and change things last minute and gave us an upfront cost for each breakdown of our trip so we know how much we could divide costs by.
Payment is made through PayPal which was secure and Colby was on hand throughout the booking and afterwards, he produced a professional itinerary of which he wanted to confirm before sending it to the driver and provided direct contact with the driver.
During the trip Colby was on hand through the entirety via WhatsApp and phone and was useful when we wanted to communicate last minute changes to our trip.
We travelled around Cuba from Havana to Cienfuegos to Cayo Coco and back to Havana and whilst we didn't take a tour we were in safe hands with our driver Adrian whom although spoke little English provided an excellent service and a safe driving experience. Adrian was courteous and professional and a genuine nice guy, he drove us around Cuba in a maroon red 57 Chevrolet which was a marvelous experience one of which we will always remember, beautiful old car with some useful mod cons, if your worried about luggage we travelled with 4x of us and the car accommodated 4x medium sized hold bags and backpacks so no need to worry on boot space, and the journey was smooth even though the roads were not. Adrian and his father Frank are excellent drivers and no the roads inside out.
The road to Cienfuegos was amazing we stopped at a recommendation from Colby called Caleta Buena which was a lovely beach area serving all inclusive cocktails and food with access to some beautiful swimming spots all for 15 euros per person.
Trinidad was amazing, very scenic and the nightlife is a real Cuban mix of Salsa, dancing cigars and cocktails, the people are all friendly and we felt safe.
Cayo Coco was the relaxing part with white sandy beaches and all inclusive resort, good for snokeling and looking at the sunsets.
And Havana, if you get to know the people, Havana can be amazing, but like any captial city you have to know where to go. We stayed in Havana twice at start of the trip in old town which was great for access to a walking tour and at the end in the Centre which was handy for the rooftop bars and the Malecon.
