We went for my husbands birthday, it was a beautiful place, the dogs are well cared for, loved. We’re extremely friendly. Our daughter fell in love with them. Owners very caring people that love their animals, they had donkeys and other animals too. Totally recommend this.

Unless you want to pay to see mistreated, injured and malnourished dogs, go elsewhere. Owner and staff should be in jail.

My husband and I took our two kids, 11 and 13, over Christmas holidays. Was very enjoyable and everyone got to drive the sleds. We were concerned as there was no snow in Collingwood, but there was plenty at the site. A bit of a difficult drive - I wouldn't want to do it if the roads were icy. We went to the barn after the sledding and had hot chocolate. It was a nice finish to an all-around good day

I went to Rob Roy Farms during March Break 2015. We only booked this dog sledding for my 11 year old son to go dog sledding and drive his own dog sled. So I specifically sent an email inquiring if my 11 year old son (who I mentioned was skinny) can ride his own sled and I was assured that they have had other kids younger ride the dog sled on their own and it would be fine. So I booked for two adults and my 11 year old son. When we got there it was us and another family with two children. The boy was younger than my son and the girl was around the same age as my son. When it came down to riding the dog sled after me and my husband went we kept stating that it was my son's turn (the sole reason why we booked to begin with which they knew as I had sent several emails before to confirm this. Then finally they let the other two children go and take their own dog sled team with a parent sitting in the front and when it came to my son they said time was up and took the dogs back. UPSET!! was the least of our words, but I kept calm and finished the day trip and wrote an email to them as they still took the full charge for my son but didn't even let him ride. The whole trip was for him and if they would have told us that he wouldn't get a turn then I would have waited till he was older then go. But you can tell they are just money grabbers and just wanted to get us there then decided to get us to go first (which is what he said and all along promised to let our son go after). Then just up and decided to say no. His response to my email was that it was icy and he was just thinking of safety. But when I responded to his email and asked him why the other younger boy was allowed to go with his sister in the front they never responded. BUYER BE AWARE!! if you want your children to experience it. I am not sure if racsim played a part but the other family was white and we are indians. It had nothing to do with safety if the other little boy younger than my son was allowed to ride his own sleigh. These guys will lie to you to get you out there. They only collect cash when you come and the day we came he said another family just cancelled out.... so they will lie to you to get you out there. So even if you tell them your intentions as to why you are coming out there they will say "yes" we can do that and when you go out there they will not deliver.
Very Disappointing and hurtful experience for my 11 year old son. Especially because he kept asking why they let the other boy younger than him go. Rob Roy Farms ruined a March Break vacation for an 11 year old boy! Paid a total of $200.00 for this disappointment. Can't believe they took $50.00 for him just to sit in a sled when he just kept asking and we just kept asking for our son to go... they promised us he would get a turn then "bam" ... "can't its done"

Owners and dogs are both so friendly ! Had a great time meeting all the dogs and got many amazing pictures. Aftwards there's hot chocolate and the farm itself is located on beautiful land. Will 100% be back first chance I get.

My boyfriend and I were given gift certificates to go dog sledding last Christmas. We had such an amazing time! The staff was so friendly and the dogs were beautiful. We had quite a few times around the track being pulled by the dogs and there was plenty of time for photos at the end. Couldn't stop talking about this experience, I would recommend it to anyone and it's appropriate for all ages as young ones can ride on the front of the sled with a parent standing on the back.
