- 1Verlassen Sie das Splash Dive Center um 09:00 Uhr und fahren Sie 30 bis 40 Minuten mit dem Boot zum Laughing Bird Caye National Park. Dies ist das beliebteste Tauchziel am Inner Reef. - 882katrinh0 BeiträgeGroßartige Wildlife Tour!Die Tour hat gut 4 Stunden gedauert und wir eine kleine Gruppe von 7 Leuten. Wir sind um 8 Uhr in Placencia gestartet. Wir sind als erstes über die Lagune, dann durch die Mangroven zum Monkey River gefahren. Dann ein ganzes Stück über den Fluss. Ralph unser Guide hat uns super die Fauna und Flora gezeigt und erklärt. Wir haben viele Seevögel und Leguane gesehen und sogar ein Krokodil. Dann haben wir noch einen kleinen Walk durch den Dschungel gemacht und haben dort eine Vogelspinne und Affen gesehen und viel über die Heilpflanzen erfahren. Zurück im Monkey River Village gab es noch ein gutes Mittagessen. Auf dem Rückweg nach Placencia haben wir noch ein Manatee gesehen. Ein toller und erlebnisreicher Ausflug. We went on this tour with young kids who haven’t snorkeled before and unfortunately, ended up going on a fairly windy/rainy day. The waves were somewhat rough, so it was too intense for our younger two (ages 6 and 9) and they quickly got out and went back to land. They did enjoy playing on the island and looking for hermit crabs though. My 11-year-old, husband and I enjoyed the snorkeling - we saw nurse sharks, barracudas, spiny lobster and so so many fish. The lunch was good - rice & beans, stewed chicken, pasta salad and pineapple served buffet style, plus juice. Our guide, Sam, was flexible with the kids and the rain. We departed at 9, boated for 40 minutes, spent several hours on the island and were back to the dock by 2pm. Overall, the older members of our group enjoyed this tour!

Laurie, thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Laughing Bird Caye National Park. I am please that you, your husband and oldest child were able to enjoy the snorkeling and that your younger ones enjoyed their time on the caye. We had a great time! We really appreciate Splash Dive accommodating us. We were supposed to go yesterday, but our son was ill and couldn’t come. My husband and I were going to go without him, but Spalsh Dive said we could go the following day so our son could join us. We snorkeled out at Silk Caye. Absolutely beautiful! Our guides were great and pointed out all the wildlife. We even got to swim with the sea turtles! That was the best way to end our day. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

I am happy that we were able to work with you so that all of you could enjoy a trip to fabulous Silk Cayes Marine Reserve. Silk really is a special place with lots of wildlife and the close encounters with sea turtles tops it off! Splash guides love to show our guests how to find the "good stuff". We hope we will see you again - maybe to learn to dive which you can do in two days if you do the theory before coming to Belize.

Jennifer booked a snorkel trip to Laughing Bird Caye National Park but as only a few booked the trip and we had a trip going to Silk Cayes, we offered Jennifer an upgrade rather than sending out two boats. Both of these destinations are amazing but as you see, Jennifer thought it was a great upgrade!!! Thank you Jennifer for sharing your experience with Splash on Trip Advisor.

Snorkeling was amazing! The entire crew was friendly and our guide Bryan was very knowledgeable. We saw so many amazing fish and even a turtle. Definitely would recommend!

Definitely something to do while in Placencia! The staff was amazing, both at the shop and on the boat. We really enjoyed talking with them and they were eager to engage. The Caye requires a "guided snorkel" which means you need to generally stay with your guide in the water. This was actually pretty nice as our guide Moses pointed out various fish and types of coral. He would bring up different sizes of conch and sea cucumbers for you to touch and feel. He also pointed out a large stingray. I will say the coral and fish do not compare to what we experienced at the Great Barrier Reef in Fiji but there was plenty to see and experience. The 5 stars are comparative to other local options for things to do and we were certainly glad we went. There were only 3 couples on our boat which also made it nice and only one other tour group was there and they have an agreement that one group would be on one side of the Caye while the other group was on the opposite - have lunch and then switch sides. Not crowded at all! Also directly across the street from Chabil Mar Villas which means a 3 minute walk if you're staying there.

What a fantastic day! The ride out was great, quick and smooth. The Caye isn't very big but absolutely what we all think of when we think of paradise. Nedia and the crew are top notch. We only snorkeled but got to see a Black Tip, a couple of nurse sharks, and a nice big sting ray. Worth every penny. Thank yo so much Splash!

The snorkel trip was excellent! Guides were very knowledgeable and able to work with all levels of swimmers/snorkelers. We saw rays, nurse sharks, squid, barracuda, and all kinds of the most colorful fish!! Lunch was plentiful and the caye itself was beautiful. Highly recommended!!!

This was a great experience. The Caye is a rather magical tiny island and the snorkling around it was perfect. At first we were a little worried that it was too cold to go into the water, but then the water was at this perfect warm temperature. The ride to the island was fun and our guide was great.

SeaGo, right by the pier, was wonderful! With the help of Ben and Devon we snorkeled in lovely, clear waters at Laughing Bird Caye and (my favorite) Moho Caye! Lots of fish and colorful coral to see plus 2 barracuda! On the shore at Moho, drinking fresh coconut water from a coconut, someone yelled to come see a huge stingray right by the shore.
Then we got on our boat and headed back to Placencia. 3/4 of the way back I realized I left my wallet on the table by the stingray! Captain Devon stopped the boat. He and Ben got on the phone to SeaGo, back to Moho— everywhere. We knew they had other obligations, but we didn’t move until they found another captain still on Moho to go look. He found it! We continued on and they brought it to Sea Go. When I picked it up it was wrapped in a bag, in perfect condition with everything there! Everyone we met in Placencia was gracious, smiling and welcoming. Can’t wait to go back— have dinner at Omar’s!!

Hello,
It was a small yatch type of boat. It was about 10 or 12 feet long. There used to be 5 or 6 persons on board not more. But I have no idea where the boat was leaving from in Plasancia, Belize.

Hello;
I don't remember any lounge chairs on this island. It's a protected park among numerous one in Belize's water for the protection of the coral reff.
Yes, there is lots of shaded place underneath the palm trees. There is one or two wooden picnic table. This island has a guardian on it. It is deserved by a local boat company located somwhere in Placencia near the peir. It is a tiny little island with no service at all on it. IT IS NOT A COMMERCIAL PLACE AT ALL. It is just a nice small island with white sand beach surrended by beautiful coral all around the island. Nature at is best. Ghislaine
