Part of the original and very picturesque, medieval hill-top town of Sarnano, while at the same time close to the shops and restaurants in the newer part of the town below, Casa Lucia is very well situated. We and our two teenage sons found it an excellent base for exploring the delights of the Sarnano region, including the Sibillini Mountains and Lake Fiastra.
Renting via the web from people you don’t know always brings a degree of uncertainty. We found the owners of the house (‘A’ and ‘B’) lovely people to deal with, warm and welcoming and keen to help if needed (they live locally), without being intrusive. For example, having lost power for a couple of hours, we finally phoned ‘B’ who arrived within 5 mins to sort it out: we’d managed to trip the fuse (in a second fusebox we had not found) by using both oven and washing machine at the same time. Although neither speaks English, we got by in French with a few words of Italian and English.
The house is very nicely presented ... mehr
