Our hearts stopped as we pulled into the gates of Sonnekus after renting on line. There had never been a picture of the outside of the building but all the interior photographs looked first class. The block is an old one - very old and in need of some serious refurbishment perhaps the only Camps Bay beachfront property that is a relic from the past. True to their word however, the interior of Sonnekus was perfect: - travertine marble, well fitted units and underfloor heating which more than made up for the exterior. The rental process was a bit frustrating as Icon Villas have apparantly moved offices and after faxing the agreement we needed to then scan it a few days later as they didn't have fax access: - something that should have been dealt with ahead of time. The apartment is situated a few blocks from the promenade coffee shops and restaurants and has superb views of Camps Bay beach.
