Having booked the apartment we were given a choice of another room within the house when we arrived. We got a chance to look around the smaller self-contained apartment, which was very small, but also very cute and had a good view of Lokrum island and the sea, but the view of the old town is obscured by vines.
We chose the second option, a room within the house of the owners, with a shared kitchen and we think our own bathroom (we never saw anyone but it had the household washing machine and toiletries in it). The room was large and comfy, but the balcony was the decider, it gave us the most spectacular panoramic view of the coast and old town. I would strongly recommend it for the view alone.
The owner is a generous older lady, Luce, who pops up whenever you are around and offers home-made grappa, home-grown vegetables, melon, biscuits, tea, breakfast etc. Her home is your home. Don’t stay here if you want privacy though. Luce is quite inclusive. If I had one ... mehr
