I have some reservation about typing these comments, because part of me wants to keep this secret to myself. Having always stayed in little hotels around Paris, I approached my first apartment rental with some trepidation. But this one is a little slice of heaven.
First, the location is delightful. It is situated on Isle St. Louis, right at the epicenter of Paris and only a short stroll away from Notre Dame and Isle de la Cité, as well as an easy walk to the Centre Pompidou and many other sites. The Pont Marie and Cité Metro stops are close by, and there is a host of little shops along the Rue St. Louis en L’Ile that runs down the center of the island. The boulangeries, butchers, patisseries, fromageries, and little bodegas are fun to explore and provide plenty of possibilities for meals in the apartment. One hint: do not try to buy your breakfast croissants the night before; get up and go out and buy them on the morning that you eat them because I could not find a way ...
