This is a nice gite in a small village. It has everything you need and we had a great stay. Although there was no wireless internet the owner told us this in advance and the internet via cable was a good speed and kept teenage son happy. I have given 4 stars out of 5 since our shower wasn't working - owner apologised and explained plumber unable to come out until September. We did have a bath with a low shower head but that was not ideal.
The gite is in the heart of the village where there is a boulangerie and 4 good restaurants. The Chateau Chenonceau is a short stroll away.
Future guests be warned you do need to reserve a table in the restaurants as they get very busy. Also they seem to shut at around 9pm so if you leave it too late you run the risk of going hungry. But after your meal it is well worth a visit to the Chateau which is lit up every night at 9.30pm and is beautiful. mehr
