I just returned from two lovely weeks at Two Bays in Crochu on the beautiful coast of Grenada. We stayed in the villa and studios, but also spend our last afternoon in rooms at Cabier so I am going to post this review on Cabier's site as well. Additionally, as guests for two weeks, we spent so much time using Cabier's facilities that it would be only partially accurate to only list this review under Two Bays.
I would be more than happy to answer any questions that anyone has about this location, accommodation, food, Grenada, driving, or really anything. My group and I (one friend, husband, brother and his wife, and me) spent two weeks here, and one night in Carriaciou/Petite Martinique up in the north. We were in Grenada on an eco-volunteer trip with work taking us to St. George's nearly daily (but sometimes other locations spread out over the islands), so we traveled A LOT during our time there. Our downtime was absolutely memorable, peaceful, and wonderful.
Bruno and Iris do a fantastic job in the kitchen. Our dinners and our occasional lunches were special and delicious. Our lobster nights were so fun! The drinks that Iris and staff make at the bar are tasty and fresh. Everything is reasonably priced as well. The staff is friendly and sincere. Our accommodation and accompanying swimming pool were simple and beautiful. I loved my view every morning, including my morning yoga time overlooking the ocean on the patio. Loved having the kitchen facilities as well.
The rooms at Cabier are great too! Clean and simple, but spacious and with great decks overlooking the beach/ocean.
I stayed for such a long time that I could write on and on and on... however, suffice it to say that I truly loved my experience, would go back in a heartbeat, and am happy to answer questions!

This grand house can be rented by a party of friends - as we did - sharing a 4x4 and exploring Grenada's fabulous and friendly countryside and bays, sometimes cooking for ourselves and sometimes eating out . Or you could take one of the 3 well appointed and completely self contained 2 person units and use the Cabier Ocean Lodge for your meals and rum punches ! Or both - as we did. Either way, if you are adventurous and keen to get right away from the sterile atmosphere of an international hotel-on-the-beach; then imagine yourself wandering down to an empty beach through a garden of exotic flowers; snorkelling round the point to a coral reef filled bay or just lying in the sun watching the frigate birds and pelicans - or the stars. Bruno and Iris at the Lodge are the most helpful hosts: Iris makes the punches and Bruno cooks fantastic dinners with local ingredients, served with a bright smile by Cindy and Florence. Their private zoo will introduce you to a variety of local wildlife from tortoises and monkeys to Dutch White rabbits and guinea pigs, not forgetting the dogs you can borrow for a good walk in the forested valley behind the beach. The photos just can't do it justice.

I came with my (extended) family to stay over the Christmas and New Year holiday 2010/2011. We stayed at the Two Bays Villa and Studio along with another room to accommodate all of us. First of all, Iris and Bruno were such welcoming hosts, they were more than happy to accommodate us in any way they could. They also run an excellent restaurant on grounds, and people who don't stay there will come for the excellent food.
About the accommodations. The villas were clean and comfortable, but not 'luxurious' as you would find at a luxury resort or hotel, which is just fine for us. . There is a/c in the rooms, but there is an additional charge to use them. The kitchen is well supplied (I should say kitchens, with renting the entire villa(s) we had use of 3 kitchens, which made it very convenient for our group. The luxury of this place, is the absolutely gorgeous view. The Villa rests on top of a hill and over looks the ocean with two bays (thus, the "Two Bay" name). You can just put on your snorkel and fins and go exploring right outside your door and down a few steps from the main area. If you do stay in the Two Bay's villa, there is a short walk to the main office/restaurant/bar area, but not to worry, when walking at night there are plenty of flash lights around to help guide you.
One of the things that stand out about our stay at Cabier, was at night we would all (9 of us total) go sit/lay out on the (huge) deck in back of our Villa, and watch the amazing light show (stars).. Our kids were amazed at how many shooting stars they got to see in one week.
I can say the only down side to our stay, was the showers. The shower pressure in the Two Bays is almost nonexistent. I found I preferred to shower when I came up from the beach in the out door shower area, where there was a really nice high pressure shower available for guests. The rooms down by the main building has water pressure, but something must need to be adjusted in the villa. Unfortunately, I totally forgot ever to mention this to Iris or Bruno during our stay. The good things so totally out weighed the water pressure, I completely forgot every time I walked out side and took in the breath taking view.
Location wise, it is far from George town. I found that a plus. There is a town about 15 min drive, so we didn't see being any inconvenience whatsoever.
When visiting Grenada, expect to meet only friendly wonderful people. When staying at Cabier, expect to have a comfortable stay with two of the loveliest people as your hosts. And don't forget to say good morning to Judy, their pet monkey (who provided our teens with so much entertainment).

This is the spot if you want a complete getaway, idyllic surroundings, the tropical sunshine, fine food, fine wine, and an island to explore!
Two Bays villa is very well kitted out; total privacy; situated with spectacular views of the ocean, and two bays!; its supported by owners of Cabier Ocean Lodge who themselves were so helpful, and run a beautiful restaurant. Two bays is a tranquil location; a sunbathers/readers paradise!
Informative, and very helpful owners; a holiday made easy!
There is so much to see in Grenada that 2 weeks wasnt enough....Im going back, for sure!
