My two adult children, their significant others, my S.O. and I spent a wonderful week at the thoughtfully designed Paia Beach House. It's just as described -- three bedroom suites with very comfortable beds and high quality linens, a spacious great room with a well-appointed kitchen (even the knives were sharp), tasteful art from the Paia Contemporary Art Gallery, lots of stuff for the beach (towels, boogie, surf, and sail boards, beach chairs, snorkels, face masks, fins, etc.), and even outdoor showers. It really could not have been any better.
We chose Paia because we wanted to be away from the resort scene in west and south Maui. I was concerned that being barely seven miles from OGG that we might have airport noise to contend with, but that wasn't a problem at all. Although the house is just steps from a beautiful beach, it is right off the main drag going through Paia so it's an easy walk to everything in town. We especially loved Mana Foods and Ono Gelato. Francisco was a pleasure to work with as well.
The only advice I have for future guests is if you rent two cars, insist that one be an economy or compact size (no larger than a Ford Focus) because otherwise parking can be quite challenging.
Gefiel mir am besten:
location, beds were exceptional
Gefiel mir am wenigsten:
Parking was challenging (we had a Chevy Captiva and VW Passat). Make sure one of your cars is smaller. Also, we're sort of coffee snobs and brought our own burr grinder as the one there is the kind that pulverizes the beans.
