Haus besteht aus Restaurant (siehe Restaurantbewertung) und einer kleinen Pension
mit 4 Zimmer im 1. Stock. Diese werden "Suiten" genannt und sind selbst für Normalzimmer sehr klein. Das Bad inkluisve WC dürfte ca. 5m" groß sein. Noch niemals in einem 5 Sterne Gästehaus ein derartig kleines, altes, schmutziges, Schimmelbefall an den Badewannenränder usw. erlebt. Bei Zimmerpreisen zwischen $ 130 und 160 absolut unzumutbar. Empfang mehr als kühl. Die Stimmung zwischen der jungen Generation (Restaurant) und den Eltern (führen das Gästehaus) dürfte unterkühlt sein. Z.B. kann man die Restaurantrechnung nicht über die Zimmerrechnung begleichen. Frühstück keine Fünfsternequalität und ein absolutes No GO
im Urlaub sind zwanghafte Frühstückszeiten nur zwischen 8 und 9 Uhr !?! Mir sind die übrschwenglichen Kritiken ein absolutes Rätsel. Die Realität, welche wir angetroffen haben war absolut das Gegenteil.

We are so sad to read that you obviously did not enjoy your stay with us.
You pointed out the speck of black mould in the bathroom. Our maintenance team searched for found it and corrected it. But since you found a speck of blackness in the bathroom did you not notice that your balcony is perched on top of the Wilderness Lagoon, a international important UNESCO proclaimed water bird reserve. You made no mention of it. Nor did you notice that we offer canoes free of charge to house guests to explore the famous wetlands of the Garden Route National Park - saving you a few hundred Rands for a day’s of leisure in one of the rarest environments.
You have not mentioned that we afforded our guests free entry to the world famous Kingfisher trail and extremely rare Afro Montane Forest.
Did you notice that we offer our beach chairs and umbrellas for guests who want to spend time on the Wilderness Blue Flag beach?
The most amazing is your statement in your enquiry letter to us saying this will be your 12th visit and you are so much looking forward to be back? Nothing changed on this side, but, what could have gone wrong for you? After thirteen years in business this is the first time that somebody is so outspokenly unhappy, having serious issues, and do not even tell us.
Your one-nights stay has already been paid during September 2013 so how on earth do you want your restaurant bill to be settled five months in advance? As you know we serve the very best wines of South Africa and we do not know which wine our guests will order five months in future. Our guests are connoisseurs who order wine to supplement their food. As you rightly know all our food are freshly prepared in accordance of the availability of fresh produce. It is impossible to us to prophesy what venison or game birds or fresh fish will be available at a future date. Your logic is beyond comprehension.
As for breakfast: I had to call you back from the parking area for breakfast. At first you where not interested in breakfast at all. You then agreed to come back with your wife and have the fresh fruit platter. So sad that your mood was not set for breakfast and you totally missed out on our freshly baked croissants and crumpets served with cold meat, cheeses, preserves & maple syrup followed by a cooked breakfast of your choice. To say our breakfast is not the quality you expect is far from the truth because you did not have the breakfast!
As for the time to ‘enjoy’ breakfast you are correct to say this is offered on the form between 8 - 9 but you did not mention the next line on your welcome form that stated you can request your own time, perhaps you missed this.
Please read the guest reviews on TripAdvisor and then judge which one is the odd one out.
