My girlfriend and I were lucky to find this wonderful hidden place. Aerolito is located in Tulum Pueblo. Unlike all the other hotels and Bed & Breakfasts it is some blocks away from the Highway 307, so that you won’t suck in the exhausted fumes.
One of the highlights is the marvelous garden with high trees. Sometimes you can see and hear the birds singing. Aerolito offers three rooms: Casa Alux is a original mayan cabin, Rincon Precioso is mayan style stone house and Casa Arbol is a treehouse on the second floor. My girlfriend and I stayed at the treehouse and really enjoyed it up there. The location is perfect for couples like us or families with children.
A short taxi ride (10 minutes) or a bike ride (20 minutes) takes you directly to the white sandy beaches or to the special cenotes of Tulum. The ruins of Tulum and Coba are also not far away and a worthy trip.
Ariane, the host of Aerolito, is really charming. As she lives since 25 years in Mexico she knows about everything and gave us helpful advises. In the morning, Ariane made a delicious breakfast with local ingredients.
We can truly recommend this place and loved to stay there. Ariane, the wonderful place Aerolito and the white sandy beaches were the reason why we stayed much longer than intended.
