Fun. No Electricity at night. No food stalls. only a small store. you should bring your own portable stove if you want to stay overnight.

Our major destination was Baliguian in Concepcion but one of the island that we visited was Agho. It is really a paradise. Good thing that we were able to visit the place before it is closed to public.

Save your money,
if u go island hoping in concepcion, save your money:
rate for a boat for 1 or 2 island 2000PHP
rate for a boat for 3 to 4 islands 3500PHP
and then u pay 25PHP fees for each island u stop by and 500 if u take a gazebo.
the other 2 big spots are the exact copy of Agho island, but one with no sand but rocks, and the last one is sand and peeble mix....
it s nice, quite clean, clear ocean, ...
just one thing, we arrived at 10am, we decided to eat, on sunday, it was crownded, and there was only 2 fish left and few crablets and 1 squid....
So bring your own food, they can provide you bbQ or cook it for you....weird they run out of stock at 10am, maybe they didn t anticipated the success especially since boracay is closed :)
So maybe it s safer to bring your own food or was it just an exception? shrug

We were the lucky ones who got to experience this island with not a lot of people/tourists around. Considering we went on a Friday holiday.. it felt like we owned the place. The water was crystal clear and had three shades of blue overlooking a mountain. It was indeed beautiful! Would love to spend a night here next time I come back!

I love the white fine sand of the island. The crystal clear water of its sea. It is just too expensive to go there since you really have to hire pumpboat for Php2,500?

Agho Island is located in Concepcion town, Iloilo Province about 2 hours drive from Iloilo City. A nice place to meditate and enjoy some degree of isolation.

"OMG, Ang ganda! (With nga-nga, teary eyed expression)" that was my reaction when we finally got to Agho Island. It is a 45 minutes boat ride from Lo-ong concepcion, The island was ravishing! According to Wikipedia (A little history for you guys) Japanese soldiers landed on Agho during World War II, although they did not stay as they had a garrison in nearby Bagungon Island. The island is currently owned by the Villarias clan, who own the island's resort and sari-sari store.
In 1980 or 81, an couple arrived on Agho Island with the claim that the island has been given to them by then-president Ferdinand Marcos. This couple, variously American[2] or Australian[3] and named as Thomas and Terry Cook[2] or Kurt,[3] hired locals to build a cottage on Agho. At first, relations between the couple and the locals were friendly; however, after the cottage was completed the couple posted an armed guard and dogs on the property to keep out intruders.[3] Tensions between the couple and the locals grew and eventually the authorities were called in. On 19 August 1988, Narcom (Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency) found 1,000 plants on the property that were believed to be cocoa plants, although some officials disputed this claim.[3] The couple had left the island two years earlier,[3] after Marcos's fall from power.
It's a must on your bucket list, especially for those who wanted a uncrowded beach. The island was so peaceful and relaxing! Comfort rooms and cottages are available. Unfortunately I don't have the idea on how much is it and the fare because we had our private boat. Agho is just one of the islands we hopped in during our Ilo-ilo tour!

Secluded island resort.....surrounding view is stunning....Electricity by solar power.....still no fresh running water you have to pay 25 pesos for a rinse water.....the care taker need to maintain the cleanliness of the beach.

I think there's a resort in Ago Island itself. You just have to check at the tourism office by the port, they can arrange that for you I believe.
From port to agho island, it's maybe a 15-25 min boat ride..

My sister and I will be traveling to Iloilo next month and wondering about the Agho Island tour. Are there places to shop, eat, massages on this island? What's included in the tour and cost? Who can I contact for Agho Islnad tour? Thank you!

No hotel but you can stay overnight....there's
a couple bamboo rest houses for rent. The island is solar powered and no fresh water you have to pay for it....you need to call ahead for reservation and bring your own food and drinking water...
How much is the entrance fee and transportation fee from the town to the island?
